Maria's Restaurant & Cafe, Damansara Perdana

It is a mistake to bring a someone from China for something they can get better at China so a lesson is learnt. So I decided to redeem my mistake with a western restaurant which is known as Maria's Restaurant & Cafe. This cafe is pretty quiet after working hours on the weekdays. So I feel like I have booked the whole restaurant. As for my friend, she is a little doubt about this restaurant because we are the only customer. I am not really good to convince her with words so just ask her to taste to believe.

Australian Black Angus (300g) - RM75.60++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - They have several types of steak to choose on with different kinds of weight. I chose the cheapest type for her. Even though, it is the cheapest but she said this is the best steak she had in her life. She likes the way how the beef slowly melts into her mouth. No need any gravy or sauce for the taste because the meat itself is already juicy enough.

Seafood Creamy Fettucine @RM25.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 2/5 -  The creamy Fettucine tasted not that bad at all but I am just not satisfied with their so called seafood in it. As you can see from the picture, it has really a pathetic numbers of seafood in it and with a super small mussel.

Tiramisu @RM13.50++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - If you like a Tiramisu with a little rum kick, this is the one you and I are looking for. This is how I like my Tiramisu to be taste like.

Conclusion for this restaurant is, please forget the steak at The Ship, Victoria Station, Chili's or even Tony Roma because this restaurant easily serves a better and affordable steaks than they do. However, the disappointing part is their pasta thou.

Magnum Cafe @IOI City Mall, Putrajaya

Outlook: 5/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.

Tamarind Springs @ Jalan TAR, Ampang

Taste: 4/5

Overall: 3/5 - It is also known as their signature Symphony of Starters, which takes you across the breadth of Indochinese cuisine with Vietnamese shrimp crystal rolls, lemongrass prawns, Cambodian-style deep-fried shrimp cakes and minced chicken on cinnamon sticks. All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.
