Marble 8, KLCC

Marble 8 is the sister company of the famous Marini's on 57 which is located at level 57 of the Petronas Twin Tower while Marble 8 is staying low on the ground with a great view of the grand twin tower.
You are required to wear smart casual to dine here and the parking here pretty limited. If you leave your car to the jockey, RM20 will be charged. Yes, it is not a part of their service. Pretty disappointing for a high class restaurant like this.
A complimentary starter for us. Nothing amazing about the starter. What is amazed me about is the waiter knows that I do not eat beef just because I ordered their fish. So they prepared the starter without beef in it while my friend has the beef in it. Very observant.
Their bread is not as impressive as I expected to be. Well, after all this is a steakhouse. So what they are expert on is steak. You can see they have a lot of choices for their steak in the menu with two types of categories which are dry-aged beef and wet-aged beef. All their beefs are from Australia and all are grain-fed beef. So the expectation on their steak is extremely high.
Parsnip Soup @RM78.00++
Outlook: 3/5

Taste: 3/5
Price: 1/5
Overall: 2/5 - Nothing impressive about it. Yeah, I can taste the parsnip in it but that's about it. The portion is just too small to be shared.

Boneless Ribeye Dry Aged Beef (300gm) @RM268.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - A very tender and extremely flavorsome cut with medium fat distribution. It is really good to make it medium rare. You definitely still can taste the grain in the meat. They provide one complimentary sauce which I have chose their Beef jus with Shiraz. Their other choices are Mushroom rugout, Marble 8 barbecue sauce, Bearnaise and Peppercorn sauce with armagnac. Additional sauce will be charged RM15++ each.

Soy Sauced marinated Blue Eyed Cod @RM138.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - It is served with spinach and cauliflower puree. Tender, soft and seafood freshness within it is greatly delightful. Not a bad choice if you do not take beef.

Creme Brulee @RM36.00++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - They do have quite a number of dessert to offer but nothing special that excite me to order. So in the end, I decided to choose the old school dessert that I used to have which is the creme brulee. Without a doubt, the basic is still the best. I would recognized this creme brulee is one of the best I have tasted so far. The sugar crust is not too thick and hard. It just mixed so well with the soft and smooth creamy custard with slight vanilla fragrance in it. Not to forget to mention about the sweetness is just well balanced with the sugar crust. Perfect!

After the meal, we are offered a complimentary chocolate. I had none of those because surprisingly I am full despite the portion are small. It is weird but truth.
Overall, I believe this is one of the best steakhouse in Malaysia that is offering their finest beef to their respectable patrons. If you do not mind the price tag, do consider their steak.
