Spices of India @KLCC

Image
This is my first ever Indian cuisine post after 5 years in writing food blog but definitely not my first time in eating them. I have to be honest and admit that the reason I am not writing any Indian cuisine is because this cuisine is not the most craved cuisine by the public. Recently I watched a movie known as The Hundred-Foot Journey played by the well-known Helen Mirren, The movie was a little old movie which was released in 2014 and it is about a war of cuisines between French and Indian which suddenly makes me crave so much about Indian food. So here I am at the Spice of India, KLCC. Some people says when you are new to the cuisine just go to the finest. So here I am! Lassi is the traditional drink which you will find in the menu from the Punjab region which consists of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Original lassi is a savoury type of drink which added cumin in it. However, the locals hardly able to accept the flavor so a sweet lassi is rather popular here instead. The sw...

Marble 8, KLCC

Image
Marble 8 is the sister company of the famous Marini's on 57 which is located at level 57 of the Petronas Twin Tower while Marble 8 is staying low on the ground with a great view of the grand twin tower.  You are required to wear smart casual to dine here and the parking here pretty limited. If you leave your car to the jockey, RM20 will be charged. Yes, it is not a part of their service. Pretty disappointing for a high class restaurant like this. A complimentary starter for us. Nothing amazing about the starter. What is amazed me about is the waiter knows that I do not eat beef just because I ordered their fish. So they prepared the starter without beef in it while my friend has the beef in it. Very observant. Their bread is not as impressive as I expected to be. Well, after all this is a steakhouse. So what they are expert on is steak. You can see they have a lot of choices for their steak in the menu with two types of categories which are dry-aged beef and wet-aged...

Tanzini Upperdeck @ G Hotel

Image
Tanzini restaurant is located inside G Hotel at Level 28. This restaurant divided into two distinctive sectionswhich are Tanzini Level 28 is serving Italian and modern European fusion menu (set dinner and a la carte) while the Upperdeck is our fine dining with a touch of French (set dinner only). Tanzini Level 28 opens for Lunch and Dinner while Upperdeck is dinner only. The picture above is the Upperdeck. I have tried to book a seat here for 2 times because they always run company events at this section. Finally, I succeeded in my third attempt. Their sofa seats are really huge and they recommend us to sit together on the same sofa. Their dinner set always change regularly. You might not see the same menu like below after 2 - 3 months from now. This idea is brilliant to have their very own loyal customers to visit them regularly to taste something different than before. They have 3 types of different dinner courses which are Expose Menu (3-course) @RM215++/pax, Explore Menu ...

Bridge Bar @G Tower Hotel

Image
While everyone is busy opening roof top bar, G Tower Hotel has a Bridge Bar instead. It is located at the 28th floor and they do have a roof top bar as well which is known as View Bar at the 29th floor. The seating is really relax and comfortable. It is a best place for a hangout and gathering. However, they only have one side of the city view facing the embassy area at Ampang which is not really fascinating. They do not have a dance floor, live band or a DJ so it is just purely sit, chat and drink spot. They do have some snacks and delicious pizza to serve too. They do have this 1 meter glass floor for you to step on it to feel the feeling you are floating in the air. The feeling is quite scary at first but once you trust the reliability of the glass, you will be just fine. A closer look on the height of 28th stories. Overall, I do recommend this place for a casual chillout. The problem they have are they do not separate the smokers and non-smokers section and most of th...

Nobu Japanese Restaurant @KLCC

Image
Just below Marini's on 57 , there is a Japanese restaurant which is known as Nobu at Level 56. To get to here, you have to go to Pertronas Tower 3 which is located near Chanel outlet if you are coming from inside the Suria KLCC mall. They are open as early as 6.00pm so that you have enough time to catch the sunset which is pretty awesome. The night scenery is the one everyone is waiting for to see. It is quite fun to spot familiar buildings in the night like this. It is really an awesome feeling to sit so up close and personal with  Petronas Twin Tower. This is what you see when you look up through the window. During at night, you can see beautiful lights shining all over the tower. When you look down, you can see the bird eye view of Suria KLCC and KLCC Park. At night, you will be able to see them playing the musical fountain with beautiful lights playing together. They got a sushi bar available for those who prefer to see chef in action rather than kl...

Mandarin Grill @Mandarin Oriental

Image
It is another great hangout with an old friend again and this time is Pei San. We did a lot of catch up on that day and enjoy our amazing dining experience at Mandarin Grill which is located inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. This restaurant has non-stop giving me surprises with their exciting menu which changes regularly. One of my favorite restaurants that you won't ever get bored of dining at all the time. No spectacular scene to be expected here but this greenery scene of KLCC park is good enough to make your day either you came in for lunch or dinner. Unlike any other restaurants who prefer to put whatever bread they are serving on that day on the table for you, what this restaurant did was presenting their bread of the day in front of us to let us choose from it. For displaying purpose, so we chose each of every type of breads. 4 different breads gave us 4 different kind of tastes. Truly amazing! Lobster Bisque @RM38.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste:...
