Renoma Cafe Gallery, Bukit Bintang

Image
Everytime when I used Jalan Bukit Bintang road, this restaurant just cannot escape from my attention, Renoma Cafe Gallery. Most of us knows what Renoma is specialized in apparel design especially famous on men's undergarments. Now they are investing in F&B business. This French-based company is very daring in their sense of art. "Something that cannot be explained by science, that is an art." That's what people usually say to me. I never going to understand Maurice Renoma's philosophy in art. They have another building here for their kitchen. The moment I stepped in, it does gave me the grand feeling with their high ceilings. However, what caught my attention after that is their table design. Only this table has their chair customized with their own designed. This table will be always reserved for their VVIP guests. Some antiques for display here which brings little nostalgic memories back. They have their multipurpose stage which som

Cestino Bakery & Bistro, Taman Desa Tebrau

Everyone said there are a lot of good food at Johor Bahru but I unable to find a decent one to add in my Johor Bahru category until I met Cestino Bakery & Bistro.  A very decent and comfortable restaurant which is a really nice place to have a break away from your workplace with UNiFi connection available. I am not into coffee but their tea is not bad at all especially this Gryphon Artisan which is so rich and creamy in a sense that bring the whole aromatic flower taste into your mouth. You feel revitalized. It is cost at RM10.90++ Pumpkin Soup @RM7.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Rich and creamy pumpkin soup which is rated as the second best compare to other soups. Broccoli Soup @RM7.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 - I hate broccoli itself but when they turned it into a soup like this. It is very delicious. The first taste is very easily got mixed up with a Hakka Cuisin

Kage Sushi Japanese Restaurant, Plaza Sentosa

It has been a long time I have not using a Groupon voucher for food. Thank to Groupon, now I know there is such Japanese restaurant that is serving ala-carte buffet for dinner. The restaurant is known as Kage Sushi Japanese Restaurant. RM55.00/pax after discount which is not really a grab but at least it is an excuse for me to try the Japanese Cuisine at Johor Bahru. Unlimited refill for drinks, fruits, salad and soup available here for self-service. Other than that, you have to order from your own table. The only sashimi is available is the Salmon sashimi. Very limited choices and the sashimi is not fresh at all. There are more choices for chawanmushi which is not bad at all. Garlic white wine mussel is the reason I grab this groupon but the mussels are very small and the taste is not worth to be complimented. The BBQ section is even worst. Nothing shown here is delicious especially the Chicken Teriyaki.  Gyoza is still acceptable but a little too oily.  The

Ma Ma Nyonya Food, Taman Molek

Normally when talk about Nyonya cuisine, the first idea we will think about the origin which is from Malacca but actually it is not just in Malacca but also in Singapore too! So there are some from Singapore bring the Nyonya cuisine to the neighboring city which is Johor Bahru. Some Nyonya kuih-muih for you to choose to take away or dine in. Every piece is sold at RM1.50. Not cheap at all. Pulut Tatar which is best accompanied with their homemade delicious kaya. It is a glutinous rice with coconut milk and Butterfly-pea flower which makes the color blue. The flower is also being used in making Nasi Kerabu. The flower name in Malay is called Bunga Telang. Kapitan Chicken @RM16.80 Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - To be honest, this is the best among all dishes I have ordered because of the curry with full of coconut milk taste in it and it is not too spicy. The chicken meat is not too hard to chew. Very soft and just a few bites you c
