Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice, Pudu

Image
Have you ever visited a restaurant which is highly recommended by a tv programme? This is my first time and the restaurant name is Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice. This restaurant is recommended by Axian (阿贤) in "Taste with Jason" Programme. I like this restaurant is they really 100% using charcoal to make their claypot rice. So the waiting for the claypot rice will take a while. It is best to call them 45 minutes earlier before your arrival so you will reduce your waiting time especially to those who has limited lunch time to spend. The response were extremely great during the lunch session seems like the tv programme has increased their fame. Yuet Sum Hin Vegetarian Restaurant, Pudu

Image
Have I ever blogged a vegetarian restaurant before? Yes, I did...from my hometown which is called  Restoran Gao Zhong . And this Yuet Sum Him Vegetarian Restaurant which located behind Shaw Parade Plaza will be second. I never like vegetarian restaurant not because they cannot fulfill my meat appetite but most of the vegetarian restaurants are just nothing but oil and flour. However, my sister and her mom convinced me to come to this restaurant to change my perception over vegetarian restaurant. Once again, I have to apologize which is my sister's mom has threw away the receipt so the name and the price shown may not be accurate. Soo Kee's Son (Meng Chuan) Prawn & Beef Noodles @Medan Imbi

Image
My sister is preparing for her final but she always try to push herself to the limit whenever her slightly selfish brother wishes to see her. Ya, the fortunate brother is me. Well, you can't blame me when I live 3 hours away from her. Of course will miss her at the moment she is not longer by my side. So today, she is here with me and I suddenly wanted to eat prawn mee. The real reason for it is because I have yet to find the finest prawn mee here at KL after staying here before for 8 years. So somehow we came across with Soo Kee's Son (Meng Chuan) Prawn & Beef Noodles which is located at Medan Imbi. His father, Soo Kee has his stall opened right opposite the road which is also a corner lot and selling the same thing. I really wonder why. We were in dilemma at first whether wanted to go to the son's or the father's. So in the end, we let the crowd in the restaurant decide for us. The price list already stated very clearly here. My first glance I saw the pra...

A Night Feast @Wai Sek Kai, Pudu

Image
Wai Sek Kai at Pudu divided into 2 sessions which are a morning session and an evening session. Previously I have blogged on the Dai Bou Mee  and Egg Custard  for the morning and afternoon session. Now I will complete it with whole evening session about Wai Sek Kai. Begins with the Pork Intestine Soup which is the most famous in the Wai Sek Kai during the evening session. The man behind the famous Pork Intestine Soup.  Pork Intestine Soup @RM10.00 Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Very delicious in every single pieces of it and the soup is very tasty as well. However, the price is slightly at the steep. I still prefer Pork Intestine Soup from Restoran Hoong Fook . According to my sister, this Turnip Cake stall has already operating for 3 generations. Turnip Cake Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - I never really enjoy a real delicious Turnip Cake up until today and even by this 3 ...

Jalan Peel Hawker Center, Pudu

Image
I have a post everyday but is already 10 days I have stopped. No special reason to it except I have been busy with my business lately. Lately I went to stay with my dearest sister's house again. Arghhh....feel myself so troublesome to her since she is going to have a final exam soon. She and her family took the trouble to take me to their local hawker center along Jalan Peel, just opposite Shell Station. Picking her up from her college again and she treated me to eat the food that she used to eat all the time. This is the hawker stall which is arranged along Jalan Peel. This is the Fried Kuih Teow which my sister highly recommend it. Fried Kuih Tiau With Mee @RM5.00 Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 2/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - Sorry, mui! This is not the Fried Kuih Tiau that I prefer. I more prefer a Fried Kuih Tiau with more "wok hei". BBQ Chicken Wings @ RM2.00/pc Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 ...

Kiku Zakura @Times Square

Image
As promised in my earlier post on Kiku Zakura , I will be back for their Sashimi. So this time, I made my point at nearly opened Kiku Zakura at Berjaya Times Square. Along with me are my dearest sister and my beloved best friend to try the Japanese delicacies for this round. I am very blessed to have them both with me because it reminded me that the last time we hanging out like this was 2 years ago and it was at Berjaya Times Square too. What a coincidence but sound bored at the same time. Hahaha... Aren't they beauties? One is dumping her whole stack of job while fall sick and accompanying me the whole day. Another one put aside her incoming exam and ignore a study group session to accompany me. Yea, I feel grateful and guilty at the same time. How will I not loving them more? Apart being given a hot towel for cleaning our hands. They served a love shaped tamago for each of us as appetizer too. At the same time, that's the symbol to represent our relationship. :...
