Uroko Japanese Cuisine, Section 17

Image
After my disappointing experience at Torii , I have to hunt for a better restaurant to maintain Japanese cuisine as my most favourite cuisine. So I come across with Uroko Japanese Cuisine which located above Soleil restaurant at Section 17, Petaling Jaya. There is lift provided to get you to their floor. The design inside the restaurant is simple and not too spacious. However, the lighting is dim which somehow to give you a sense of privacy. Uroko does provide Omakase which starts from RM150++/pax and the most expensive is just only RM350++/pax. It is quite affordable in my opinion. Toro Yuromi Mushi @RM35.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Started of my meal with a pleasant tuna soup. It does not have anything fascinating inside to justify the price but it is still a delicious soup.  Eringi Butter Yaki @RM14.00++ Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - It doesn't look appealing but the ...

MyElephant Thai Restaurant @Happy Mansion

Image
myElephant Thai restaurant has established themselves in Malaysia since 2007. In this span of 10 years, they already have spread their wings throughout Klang Valley area and Ipoh with 6 neighborhood oriented branches. The concept of this restaurant is not by opening in high density area such as mall or or commercial business district.. All their branches are opened in residential area. This is what make myElephant more unique than any other common Thai restaurants. Green Aroma is their signature drink which is made from fresh pandan with lemongrass with herbs @RM8.48. The taste is really calming and soothing. myEle's Phad Thai @RM13.67 Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste:3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - The taste is very average because any Phad Thai at Thailand which is selling by the road side taste better than this. Honestly, I cannot believe they rate this as their best seller. Pineapple Fried Rice @RM10.49 Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5...

Restoran New Wong Poh,

Image
It has been quite some time I have not had butter crab in KL. The last memory is still vividly in my mind. To refresh my mind again, I decided to dine in Restoran New Wong Poh. I found this restaurant by just typing "Butter Crab in KL" and this restaurant name was listed 6 out of 10 results in the first page. This restaurant must be real good! Lala in Superior Soup @RM12.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 3/5 - I know I am here with the main objective of feasting on their butter crab but their Lala in superior soup is something you really shouldn't miss. It is the best starter to have before the crab. Their superior soup is really full of lala taste in it with a wine kick. Extremely delicious. Apart of that, the lala meat is fat and chewy. The best part is the lala is fresh. So don't let yourself blinded by their butter crab and miss this superior soup. Butter Crab @RM55.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste...

Durian SS2, Petaling Jaya

Image
The annual durian season has arrived!!! All the durian connoisseurs are out to seek for the best durian around to cure their yearly addiction over durian. The best place to seek for durian will be the famous Durian SS2 which is just relocated to a new place which is located along the Jalan Harapan. This building is newly built by the government just for the durian seller to have their business here. The reason for Durian SS2 being one of the best is because the varieties, the freshness and a lot of choices to choose from. They have fresh durians deliver to them every single day. The price doesn't come cheap at all! Only rich people can afford such a price. I usually bought Udang Merah around RM9-RM10/kg only. The price here is double the usual price. However, they assure all their durians are top quality if there is not fresh, they will change a new one for you without additional charges. Not enough cash? No problem. They accept visa and mastercard. This is the first time...

Image
It is time for another Japanese cuisine post to please my reader's demand. The number of Japanese restaurant opened in Malaysia is quicker than the speed I post them here. I am not kidding. Anyway, I will bring you to Genji Japanese Restaurant which is located at PJ Hilton. I thought they should have same Japanese restaurant in all Hilton hotels for example like all Equatorial Hotel has Kampachi Japanese restaurant . So KL Hilton has Iketeru Japanese restaurant while right now where I am going to introduce to you is Genji Japanese restaurant which is at PJ Hilton. Shirley who is also a fan of Japanese cuisine was there with me to try the food quality there. Sashimi Moriawase (5 types) @RM190.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Very expensive and too rigid with the choice which they already stick with which are Sake, Kampachi, Maguro, Ika and Butterfish. You can't change their fixed choices. I hate it. The fishes are fresh whic...

Bistro A Table, Seksyen 17

Image
I was here at Bistro A Table after a recommendation by my friend online. Since it was specially recommended, and it's been a long time since I last posted about French cuisines, here it is: This is what you see on the right when you make the entrance into this restaurant. The lighting inside was quite dim. A romantic atmosphere to the diner, for sure, but also increased difficulty for my food photography session. That's the light source. Very creative with Orchid plant hanging there. Some of their personal collections of French posters to create the feel of dining in France. The restaurant owner seemed to like Orchid very much. You can them everywhere in the restaurant. NOTE: They are real flowers. Such an ambiance, a glass of Prosecco Champagne @RM30.00++/glass is just perfect to go with it! Vanice, first appearance on my blog. Welcome, welcome! Couldn't decide what to eat at first because there weren't many choices on their menu. Eventu...
