Coconut House Restaurant @JayaOne

Image
My second round of the day with Serene Tan at Coconut House Restaurant for their dessert which is also at JayaOne. She recommended Coconut House to me so why not and give it a try. Baked Pear with Red Wine @RM9.90++ Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 1/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 2/5 - The baked pear is extremely sourish which I can't continue anymore after the first bite. The one mark is the ice cream which is at least it is edible for me. She specially introduced this to me but surprising for her to because it has letting her down as well. Panna Cotta @RM8.90++ Outlook: 1/5 Creativity: 1/5 Taste: 0/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 1/5 - Have you ever eaten a panna cotta which is harder than a tofu? This is one of it and taste sourish as if it is spoiled. Another let down for both of us. Tiramisu @RM14.90++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - This is not the tiramisu that I preferred. I wonder if they know how to make one or even taste...

KimchiHaru Contemporary Korean Cuisine @JayaOne

Image
It has been 6 long years and this time we have managed to catch up with each other. It is really great to see Serene Tan again. This time we had our first round of catch up at KimchiHaru Contemporary Korean Cuisine at JayaOne. JayaOne is a place where all the food gathered in one place.  Their signature is their kimchi. They do sell their kimchi too at RM12.00 for 800g. This is the side dish which is accompany with our set. The set is coming with 2 sets of side dish and 2 bowls of rice. Kimchi Duck (2 pax) set @RM34.80++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - The duck meat is so delicious! Very easy to chew and not really hard to swallow. Just perfect. Their kimchi indeed is their signature. The kimchi is really delicious especially a person like me who is not a big fan of kimchi saying that, you should know how good it is. Look her expression after the first bite. Doesn't it say it all? We occupied their whole restaurant...

Marufuku @JayaOne, Petaling Jaya

Image
After our last group meeting at Fusion Haven , we gathered once again after almost 6 months apart at Marufuku, JayaOne. I have always been introducing freaking expensive Japanese cuisines but this time I will share the cheapest ever Japanese food that I ever had which taste so good which is worth every penny of it. FYI, when I brought my friends over here and all my friends said the same words after looking at the menu, "Why so cheap?" Hahahaha... This is the place it is located right beside Muse Bar & Club. Kakiage @RM2.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 3/5 - Kakiage is a type of tempura which is made from mixed vegetables strip such as onions, carrots and burdocks. Sometimes it contains prawns. But not for this one. My friend said it taste good but I never like a deep fried food so my comment on this will be bias. House Special Udon (Cold) @RM6.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 2/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Thi...

Kissaten @JayaONE

Image
Today, I feel like making a sin. The reason for me of saying so is I brought my special Muslim girlfriend to a non-halal and non-pork free Japanese Restaurant called Kissaten. OMG!!! I feel so bad and luckily she is so open enough that she does not really care as long as she doesn't order it. That's a BIG relief for me. She is so darn cool! I really respect a Muslim friend that way. Really treasure her a lot! Haha...to protect her identity, I will not show any photo of her in my post.  Anyway, let's see how great Kissaten is. I have been to this place before once before being specially introduced by my sister's friend to this place again. I still remember the first time I went in to this restaurant, I feel that the food are quite good but just slightly expensive. I wonder how has it becomes after more than 2 years not visiting this place. Mushroom Soup @RM6.90++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - Not really as great as I ...

If you have read my previous post, once again  Groupon  has disappointed me! Read on to find out why. Here is the link for the voucher: RM9 for a bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen from Mai Ramen Cafe Basically, RM9 that you spent, you will have a hot/cold green tea (refillable)* + Tonkotsu Ramen + Condiments Platter* + Ice Cream Crepe* *Note: You will get those for free if you click "Like" in their facebook fan page. Not hard to find this place if you know where JayaOne is. As for the parking is chargeable at RM2/entry. They have Japanese songs as their background songs. Wi-fi is available in this restaurant with password. However, I did not login at that time so I do not know the password. Sorry... This is the Tonkatsu Ramen, the main course. I am not trying to be exaggerate but just when the ramen is served, I can eventually smell the saltiness. Well, it has been proven after my first bite. The soup is salty which makes the noodle itself is salty. The noodles are ...
