Restoran Chan Meng Kee, SS2

Image
I used to think Ming Kee Char Siew has the best BBQ pork. I admitted I am wrong after I understand the meaning of best BBQ pork here at Restoran Chan Meng Kee which is located at SS2...the place known with great food. The boss is hidden every early morning at the back of the shop to observe thoroughly of his BBQ pork and roasted pork before sending them here to be chopped and served to the guests.  Nicely made and only ready at 9.30am while his restaurants already started at 8.30am. Wantan Mee with 3 pork dumplings @RM6.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - The wantan noodle is very delicious. Unlike any other normal wantan noodle hawker stall. What I heard is the boss did a lot of research in how to make the noodle delicious. He make sure the wantan noodle is well made and he will only buy from one supplier who freshly made for him everyday. Pork dumplings were good as well but nothing special to describe about them. ...

Yuan Garden Dim Sum House, SS2

Image
This is my first ever tour guide trip organize especially for a friend from Yunnan, China. So I thought would like to start her off with our local dim sum which I have been wanted to try the dim sum at Yuan Garden Dim Sum House for a long time but never ever done it until today. The location is really too far for me to reach unless I am somewhere around that area. It is really risky for me to bring my China friend here for the dim sum since China has a lot more better ones than us. By the way, I am n ot going to specifically rate each of the dim sum. So please bear with it. Steamed Prawn Dumplings - 3/5 @RM4.30++ Siew Mai - 3/5 @RM4.30++ Braised Pork Ribs - 2/5@RM4.30++ Chili Pork - 1/5 @RM4.80++ Butter Cream Salted Egg Yolk Bun - 3/5 @RM4.30++ A little disappointing for my most favorite dim sum because it contains a little smelly egg taste in it. Prawn Chee Cheong Fun - 2/5 @RM4.80++ Unimpressive - that's what my China friend and I think of it. Re...

Hainan Tea, SS2

Image
A lot of Old Town, Georgetown, Bangi Kopitiam, Pappa Rich, Kluang Station and many more...but no one can beat Hainan Tea. In my opinion, their kaya is the best kaya that I ever had in this style of cafe. Their kaya taste is very near to what my mum made for us during our younger days which I longing for that taste for a very long time. Flower Tea @RM5.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 - My sis find it weird to see grasses in the cup. Hahaha...but it was very nice and soothing. You can refill as much as you want because after 10 times, the taste is still there. However, refilling hot water need to charge RM0.80. This is kind of silly. Ribena Lemonade @RM9.90++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - My sis said is a normal Ribena with lemon which she can make herself. I wonder when she will do that. Hainan Brown Toast @RM3.80++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 4/5...

Restoran Bibichik, SS2

Image
Graving for a Peranakan/Nyonya cuisine at KL? Same do we are...since Malacca is 1 hour and 30 minutes away from us so we decided to get to somewhere which is around 10 minutes away and the place is at SS2. At first we are in a dilemma between Restoran Nyonya and Bibichik which are located in the same area where they are just behind of each other. In the end I decided to choose Bibichik because I support a restaurant that accepts American Express card. Hahaha... Pure Apple Fruit Juice @RM5.00++ Honey Sotong @RM15.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - Must not order!!! I am serious about this. I feel like eating flour more than the squid because the squid is just too small! Bibi Tofu @RM8.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - The gravy is very delicious but it is not a must order dish because I prefer a homemade tofu instead of Japanese tofu. Fried Brinjal @RM10.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: ...
