Sky Coffee Shop, Baiyoke Sky Hotel

Image
Baiyoke Sky Hotel is the place I stayed throughout my awesome holiday at Bangkok. Despite lack of lifts to support massive patrons and rigid 2.00pm check-in, I am still recommend this hotel to everyone because of their reasonable price, comfortable room, varieties of food and also is the tallest hotel in Thailand. The best of all the food is cheap in such a high class hotel! They have this fruit buffet which is only 180 baht/person!!! Lots of food choices for you to choose from and their fruits are so sweet! Guarantee!  Anyway, I should get back to the main meal first. One of the restaurant in the Baiyoke Sky Hotel is this Sky Coffee Shop which located at the same level with the reception at level 18. Yes, there is no typo here. Their reception is at level 18. We are always used with a hotel reception at the ground floor but in this hotel, it is slightly different. That is one of the reason why the lift is so congested. Tom Kha Kai @120 baht++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: ...

Cabbages & Condoms, Bangkok

Image
Cabbages & Condoms is a Thai restaurant which I would like to introduce for today. There is a word "condom" in the restaurant name does not mean the restaurant is cooking using a condom or serving the food on a condom. Nothing near that. Initially, they started up this restaurant is for charity purpose to gather donation to help and create awareness over the deadly HIV virus which cause AIDS. So from a normal charity restaurant has brings them the fame worldwide. This is a mannequin which is decorated with condoms! Condom Christmas Tree!!! Wow...it is so beautiful. Don't worry, those condoms definitely not used ones. Otherwise, it is really...ewwww...unimaginable. Thailand is one of the famous sex trade country in the world and surprisingly condoms are not really widely being used. They are not educated that way so this restaurant is purposely trying to sending this message out to everyone.  A more detailed introduction about the vision and mission o...

Wat Pho, Bangkok

Image
After taking a ferry across the river from Wat Arun , and here I come...Wat Pho, is a Buddhist temple in Phra Nakhon district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in the Rattanakosin district directly adjacent to the Grand Palace. Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, its official name is Wat Phra Chettuphon Wimon Mangkhlaram Ratchaworamahawihan. You would want to remember the shorter one. The Wat Pho complex consists of two walled compounds bisected by Soi Chetuphon running east–west. The northern walled compound is where the reclining Buddha and massage school are found.  The temple has sixteen gates around the complex guarded by Chinese giants carved out of rocks.  These statues were originally imported as ballast on ship trading with China. What is so famous about this temple is still the reclining Buddha. The image of reclining Buddha is 15 m high and 43 m long with his right arm supporting the head with tight curls on two box-pillows of blu...
