Simple Life, Cheras

Image
Hardly to see a vegetarian restaurant able to open branches all around Malaysia like Pappa Rich or Old Town. However, Simple Life did it. Seems like there is really such a demand by people that can live half a day without meat. Organic Beancurd Hotpot @RM18.90++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - The side dishes are not impressive but the main dish which is the bean curd is still acceptable. . A closer look on the bean curd. Ginger Extract Brown Rice @RM14.90++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 -  Simple and plain noodle soup. I feel that a normal hawker stall clear soup noodle can taste better than this. Homemade Charcoal Steamed Bread @RM5.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Interesting color for a bread. The taste is amazingly delicious and highly recommended for everyone to try. They do have toast bread too but I prefer a steamed one which is heal

Tamarind Springs @ Jalan TAR, Ampang

Image
Tamarind Springs is a sister company with Tamarind Hills but at different location and different concept. Tamarind Springs is located inside a jungle like area. So there are no air-conditioner provided and you are surrounded by greens. Very nice atmosphere to have your meals. An exotic dining experience! Tamarind Springs serves Indochinese Cuisine so you will be expecting Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand cuisine in their menu. To get to here is a little bit tricky. Even Google Maps and Waze failed to guide you to the right place. Basically you will only see this restaurant after you passed by the Royal Club Selangor Golf Course. For exact location, please click on the link on the word "Location" at the end of this post. There is a guarded parking lot provided which is free of charge. So do not worry about your expensive vehicle leaving in the wild and dark in the middle of the night. You have to be amazed with the landscape and design of this restaurant. Pretty

Tokyo Pastry @Avenue K

Image
It is always an exciting feeling for me to meet up with my goddaughter especially on my birthday. It has been a very long time I have not been to Avenue K. It has changed so much especially there are so many restaurants here. We are almost spoiled with choices here and in the end we decided to give Tokyo Pastry a shot. Hearty Mushroom Soup @RM10.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Delicious creamy mushroom soup with lots of delightful mushroom bites to chew on. The garlic bread is kinda disappointing. Lack of garlic taste. Taste like ordinary bread toast. Salmon Chowder @RM10.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 2/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 2/5 - It is edible. That's all I can say. Don't ask where is the salmon because I do not even taste fish in it. Enju Japanese Restaurant, Prince Hotel

Image
Lately I have been hunting down Japanese restaurant inside hotels and Enju Japanese Restaurant is the latest that is coming to the list. It is located inside the first floor of Prince Hotel. Do not have any view to see from this restaurant. This restaurant offers ala-carte buffet @RM65++/pax for dinner only on Friday and Saturday. You may enlarged the picture to see the menu of their ala-carte buffet. No sashimi is listed in there and they only offer sushi, maki, temaki and mostly make of rice that will make you full easily. Clear Bonito Soup (left) and Miso Soup (right). These soup is limited to one per pax only. Well, not really amazing anyway for you to get many of these soups. From the left, Futo Maki, Dynamite Roll, Soft Shell Crab Temaki and Jumbo Unakyu Maki. Dynamite Roll is their signature and Jumbo Unakyu Maki is worth to order. As for the others are least impressive especially the temaki. The seaweed roll is not crispy at all and the soft shell crab does not ta

Svago @Suria KLCC

Image
Svago is a mixed of French and Italian Cuisine restaurant which is located at the most prestigious landmark in kl which is at KLCC. This place is not famous for a good place to dine but it is a very nice place to chill and have a bucket of beer in the busy city. What makes this restaurant unique is they have this breath taking view of the KLCC Lake Fountain. It is quite an awesome view during the day and do imagine if is at night especially when they have the musical fountain performance every hour starts from 8.00pm. Perfect location for a romantic dinner. They do not have many patrons during the lunch time so basically we are like booking the whole floor. By the way, this is the second floor which is fully air-conditioned and it is restricted area for smoking. For smokers, they will place you at their ground floor opened area.
