Mon Boulangerie & Kitchen, Sri Petaling

Image
As usual whenever I got a vacant time at KL, I will visited my Elayne jie and we will find a new restaurant to dine. This time we went to Mon Boulangerie & Kitchen where both of us have not tried yet. During lunch, they provide free drinks for every main course you ordered. Chicken Pie with Fries Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 - I like the inside of the chicken pie which is the same like the mushroom soup. However, I do not really enjoy an overly oily crust. I am very particular when a food is oily. Chicken Spaghetti Pesto Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - I have tried a real pesto which was made by a friend of mine in my previous post . This is nothing near that. However, it is not that bad at all. Just that I feel there is a need for an improvement on the pesto taste. Tiramisu Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - A little too hard and the coffee taste is too strong for my liking. I prefer a

Batu Caves, Gombak

Image
Batu Caves is always famous among the Hindus for a ritual and sacred worship place. While for the tourists are here for the magnificent 272 steep steps to the top and the 42.7-metre (140 ft) high statue of Lord Murugan which was unveiled in January 2006, having taken 3 years to construct. It is the tallest Lord Murugan statue in the world . So here I am to bring you to a cave which is just 13 km away from the busy city of Kuala Lumpur. The car park charges is RM2.00/entry. If you walk-in, it is free. There are a lot of pigeons around here which creates a lot of poos around the area and also an unpleasant stink smell too. Monkeys have already blended in with the human community here. You are advised not to feed them or scare them because you might attacked by a group of monkeys.  This monkey is enjoying the final drip of Gatorade energy drink from the bottle. I think he enjoyed it a lot. Got energy? This baby monkey was trying to have a close contact with human her

It is another year of Valentines' Day where all high class restaurants are squeezing their brains to come out with great ideas to bring the Valentines' atmosphere out to their beloved patrons. Usually during Valentines' Day, all high class restaurant will halt all their ala-carte menu and only serve Valentines' Day Special Menu. This happens to Tamarind Hill as well. It is a Burmese and Thai restaurant. A glass of Chandon Brut, a lovely dessert and a beautiful girl to start my Valentines' Day. This Valentines' Set dinner is cost at RM450 nett per couple. Set not inclusive champagne but only include coffee or tea. Tasting Platter: Pandan Chicken, Steamed Seafood with Young Coconut and Papaya Prawn Salad. Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Very delicious set to start with. Since it is a Burmese-Thai cuisine, these food are served cold and you would not feel offended by it at all because it is meant to be cold. Soup: Clear Tom

San Nae Deul Korean BBQ, Solaris Dutamas

Image
It is time for another Korean cuisine. It has been really long time since the last one. So I decided to find one at Publika since this place is getting more and more restaurants. The restaurant is very visible front the main road and as you can see it is known as San Nae Deul Korean BBQ. We are too early? Quite empty. These are their side dishes that they offer. I will rate their side dishes as below average because nothing special for me to share with you all here. Cochujang Samcyp Sal @RM30.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - This is a spicy pork belly. I made a right choice to choose this because the spiciness is well blended with the meat. All the fragrance roam into your mouth when you took the first bite. After cook. Sadly, this restaurant only serve beef, pork and chicken meat only. Lack of varieties make me only order the pork. Dakdori Tang @RM55.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall:

Restoran Chaw Yuan, Skudai

At last I have a place at Johor Bahru to recommend. The restaurant is called Restoran Chaw Yuan which is located at Taman Nusa Bestari Jaya. This is the new town of Johor Bahru. Hot Plate Beancurd @RM10.00 Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Usually this is one of the best dish the served but unfortunately the day I wanted to do record for this blog, they made it quite badly. I think they accidentally put too much soy sauce in it. Quite salty. Fried Prawn in Pumpkin Butter Cream Sauce @RM23.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - This is the best dish I had for that night. The delicious pumpkin butter cream sauce is very appetizing and I just can't help to keep scooping just the sauce to eat. There is a little spicy kick in it too! Perfectly done! However, the price is a little expensive for just 5 prawns. Baby Pak Choy - Just a normal vegetable. Overall, I do acknowledge they have a

The freakout level is 3/5 This is a Kid Power Tower where you move up and down by pulling the rope. This requires strength and the height is about 3-storey high only. Freakout level 2/5.
