Tonkatsu Anzu, Lot 10

Image
Tonkatsu Anzu is one of the popular place for diners at The Tokyo Restaurant, Lot 10. You are assured that you will walk out this restaurant with a full stomach. First is their refillable salad. Second is their refillable ginger and third is their refillable rice. You will get this sesame if you order their Pork Loin Katsu Set. My friend, Vanice was showing you what you should do with the sesame. First, grind it until it is as fine as possible. Second, add a scoop of their specialty sauce. Third, mixed them well together. Lastly, pour it on top of your Pork Loin Katsu Set and it is ready to eat!  This is the Pork Loin Katsu set cost st RM35 (small) and RM37 (big). The size different is the meat size. Hardly see any different with just RM2.00 difference to be honest. However, if you order their Thick Pork Loin Katsu Set at RM47, you will definitely realized on the difference of the thickness. It is more juicy and tender. This is my best recommen...

Asahi Japanese Restaurant @Berjaya Times Square

Image
It has been a long time I have not been here at Berjaya Times Square. I very pleased to see some new restaurants are opening up here which makes this used to be aboring mall becomes interesting. When I saw Asahi Japanese Restaurant, I knew I must choose this place since Japanese cuisine is always my favourite. Dobin Mushi @RM19.81++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 3/5 - Overall: 3/5 - After my last experience at Kin no Mizu , I started to love Dobin Mushi. However, this Dobin Mushi did not taste the same at all. After they squeezed half lime juice in it, the taste was weird. Not smooth, no more seafood freshness in it. However, after a few cups of it, I started to accept this new taste but I still prefer the original Dobin Mushi. Sashimi Mori @RM99.06++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - As usual, I would started off with their Sashimi platter which comes with 5 types of fishes with 3 pieces each except the butter...

Hong Kong's Food Culture @Low Yat Plaza

Image
Mimicking the old Hong Kong cafe style, Hong Kong's Food Culture has make their impression at Low Yat Plaza. Not just the appearance, even their menu has all the famous Hong Kong food. Ceylon Tea @RM4.00++ - You just can't miss the Hong Kong style of milk tea. So smooth and fragrance. Ma Yau Rice Soup @RM14.80++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 3/5 - Never stingy with the ingredients especially the fish. The bowl looks bigger than the picture itself. You will most likely can't finish the whole bowl. It is quite tasty too.  Fish Ball Soup (10pcs) @RM9.20++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - This is just average even though this is one of their signature. The reason is because the fish ball is lack of fish taste in it. Wanton Lo Min (5pcs) @RM9.50++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - I have to give a double "like" to the noodle itself. It...

Enju Japanese Restaurant, Prince Hotel

Image
Lately I have been hunting down Japanese restaurant inside hotels and Enju Japanese Restaurant is the latest that is coming to the list. It is located inside the first floor of Prince Hotel. Do not have any view to see from this restaurant. This restaurant offers ala-carte buffet @RM65++/pax for dinner only on Friday and Saturday. You may enlarged the picture to see the menu of their ala-carte buffet. No sashimi is listed in there and they only offer sushi, maki, temaki and mostly make of rice that will make you full easily. Clear Bonito Soup (left) and Miso Soup (right). These soup is limited to one per pax only. Well, not really amazing anyway for you to get many of these soups. From the left, Futo Maki, Dynamite Roll, Soft Shell Crab Temaki and Jumbo Unakyu Maki. Dynamite Roll is their signature and Jumbo Unakyu Maki is worth to order. As for the others are least impressive especially the temaki. The seaweed roll is not crispy at all and the soft shell crab does not ta...

QBA Latin Grill & Bar @The Westin KL

Image
It is me and Caroline again at a surprisingly romantic place at Qba Latin Grill & Bar which is located right inside the famous The Westin KL. I came across with this restaurant a while back after reading a book recommending this restaurant for their famous Latin American Cuisine but never know this place can be so romantic and peaceful. The decoration here are very Latin American style with an angel statue watching over the bar below. First storey is the dining place and the second storey is the drinking place where the live band will be there by 10.30pm. So this place is pretty quiet before 10.30pm. Very romantic dining area but they have some issue for having mosquitoes in their restaurant. Well, a low light restaurant like this is truly a favourite for mosquitoes. This is something they need to rectify. Apart of  that, their menu is quite limited of choices and what is even worst is some of them are no longer available because their meat is out of stock and not...
