After Tsunami @Ao Nang, Krabi

Image
Disappointment after disappointment I have been experiencing the food at Krabi which makes me wanted to give up my hope of finding good food. Well, luck always shines on you the brightest when you almost lost your own "light". I met Mr. Mike and his family from England who is a very funny and cheerful person after our Phi-Phi Island Dive. He introduced me a great seafood restaurant which is called "After Tsunami".  As you all know the well-known 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake which triggered Tsunami  killed more than 230,000 peoples and Ao Nang is one of the place where suffers the collateral damage by this 9.3 magnitude earthquake. So this restaurant is named after the tragic incident which is ranked as top 10 world's deadliest natural disaster. According to the locals, this place was flattened by the Tsunami and it took them more than 2 years to rebuild back to where it was but the crowd and the atmosphere which is used to be before is no longer exist. Krabi Town, Krabi

Image
Krabi Town is not a developing area but amazingly it is still a tourist spot. This is because of their old buildings and local foods. They have night market on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. From Ao Nang, you can take their local Tuk-Tuk for only 600 ฿   for a return trip or you can take the local bus which cost 100 ฿  per person. Wow...this is an amazing traffic light for a town like this! This is their largest mall which is called Vogue Mall. The size of the mall is even smaller than an Econsave Hypermarket. My goodness~~~ CIMB Thai. This town got a lot of this advertisement cars like this. Announcing their latest promotion around the small town. I so in love with Thai Noodles. Even it is so plain like this, it can be so delicious and cheap too! It just cost 20 ฿ . This is their raw vegetables to accompany with the noodles. 100% raw vegetables. I really not used to eat like this. A total experience to me. Herbs are raw too! Hahaha...I r...

La Risato @Ao Nang, Krabi

Image
I thought normally branded stuff will have different name for their pirated stuff. For example, Adidas becomes Abibas, Nike becomes Neke, Gucci becomes Gussi and many more...now even restaurants also have which is La Risata , an Italian restaurant that is very famous in Malaysia becomes La Risato in Thailand. This restaurant is managed by a group of either Bangladeshi or Sri Lankan...definitely not local. Since most of the shops and restaurants are closing after 10pm, so I left with no choice but to choose this restaurant and hoping their food will be good. Their interior design This is how it looks like when you are looking out from the restaurant. Wi-fi is available in this restaurant too. Wi-fi in Thailand is super fast unlike in Malaysia which you will only feel the speed when the place equipped with UniFi. Addicted to Coke lately due to the freaking hot weather. Nightwalk @Ao Nang, Krabi

Image
Ao Nang is a very small town just beside the beach at Krabi, Thailand. Not much for a nightlife if to compare with Bangkok and Phuket Island as their business hours are mostly until 10.00pm unless for nightclubs, 7-Eleven , Starbucks and McDonald . However, their street at night is pretty happening too! For those who are always loved and cared by mosquitoes, you may need this to keep them away for the night. LOL What a beautiful town, mountain at the back and sea in the front. Chicken Noodles @40 ฿ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Delicious drumstick. Very fragrance soup. The best part still the noodles. I just love Thai noodles which is so special and tasty! Must try! Fried Rice @40 ฿ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Looks normal but when take your first bite you just have to love it. The rice in Thailand are so fragrant and tasty.
