Vietnam Kitchen @1Utama

Image
Here are my final catch up with Serene Tan at Vietnam Kitchen. I believe everyone will be same like me feel grateful about being in Malaysia which is having different kinds of food around the world assembled in Malaysia. You will never run out of idea what you wish to eat and right now we wish to go to Vietnam for a meal. Avocado Milkshake @RM7.90++ - Not a bad drink to have at all for a smooth and tasty avocado. Prawn Roll @RM6.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - I just hate the mint in the roll. Vietnamese cuisine just loves to put mint into their food which I am not really fancy. Lotus Root @RM11.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Plain, ordinary and common but it taste really good. Just the price is not really plain, ordinary and common for such a simple dish like this. Chicken Noodle Set @RM18.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - This is...

The Sphere @One World Hotel, Bandar Utama

Image
My high tea adventure has increased with The Sphere, One World Hotel entering the list. The Sphere is located at the ground floor of the hotel where the main lobby is. Such a luxury ambiance with a pianist playing the grand piano which is located at the center of the cafe to smoother up the atmosphere. I like their seating with fancy sofas which is so comfortable and make our mind to relax. At that time, we are the only casual one where most of them with long sleeves shirt and some with tuxedo. Hahaha...it somehow gives us a weird feeling for being the odd one. My special guest today, Bonita. She is a Chinese - Spanish which I known her for quite a number of years but this is her debut in my post. Rarely to get a hold on her because she is staying way too far for me to go and fetch her.  She is showing off her new hairstyle to me so I took the opportunity to photographed it down as a record. English Tea Set - RM50.00++ for 2 pax. She chose to have her coffee...

Kura Japanese Restaurant @One World Hotel

Image
Today, we visited Kura Japanese Restaurant which is under the same company with Zen Sushi, Hokkaido Japanese Restaurant, Sushi Zanmai and Pasta Zanmai. Kura Japanese Restaurant is consider as the most prestigious restaurant among all of them. The restaurant is located inside the five star, One World Hotel.  Started our dinner with Choya (160ml) @RM38.00++. Choya is a Japanese Plum Wine. Highly recommended for people who like to have sourish flavor with slight sweetness inside your alcohol drink. Next to have, is their special wasabi. For your information, this is not the same with the wasabi that we usually have in Sushi Zanmai. Shirako Teppan @RM18.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Shrooms~~~ Deliciously done with the adequate amount of cheesy buttery taste. However, too few shrooms to really enjoy them all. Unagi Sushi @RM28.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - The unagi itself ta...

Chili's Grill & Bar Restaurant @1Utama

Image
Everybody knows about Chili's Grill & Bar Restaurant and everybody knows the queue is a horror especially at KLCC branch. However, how many people really knows about this restaurant itself? Let me give you a simple history on this restaurant. Opened in 1975 and initally was owned by Larry Lavine before it sold to Norman Brinker in 1983 under  Brinker International Inc  whom specialized in food & beverage industry originated in Dallas, Texas, United States. Brinker has opened 11 other more restaurants along those years which ended either closed down or sold to another organization. Finally left with Maggiano's Little Italy (Italian Chain Restaurant)  and Chili's Grill & Bar Restaurant. This casual dining restaurant has over 1500 restaurants in 31 countries. The first branch in Malaysia is at Bangsar Shopping Centre in June 1994 and after then it has captures all Malaysian's heart. Well done but I believe the road to come this far is not that easy ...

Charms Cafe @1Utama Shopping Mall, Bandar Utama

Image
Besides Kell's Restaurant & Cafe, another combination of western + local cuisine into one restaurant which is called Charms Cafe. They have branches at The Curve and Kluang Mall too. But I wonder why they did not mention Kluang Mall in their official website. Hmmm.... Anyway, let's check it out their signature dish. Lamb Charner @RM18.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Very creative eh? Eye-catching interesting way of displaying the food which makes you wanted to order it. However, by the time they serve it to you...BIG LETDOWN. Look at the lamb. I hardly see any meat! The taste is good but because seems like eating the bones more than the meat has make it not worth the price tag. Nasi Lemak Special @RM10.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - A green rice nasi lemak? Another eye-catching dish which has cheated my appetite. Hehe...but...the portion is just too small. I expect bigger chicken p...
