Samira by Asian Terrace, KLPAC

Image
A place where my boy able to be in awe like this is at Samira by Asian Terrace. Last time, it was a Japanese restaurant but because of the quality and bad customer service had caused them failing to survive. Now, it has become an Indochinese cuisine restaurant. The catching point of this restaurant is they have an amazing lake by the side of the restaurant. It has koi fishes in it. The restaurant does not have air-condition so during the day, the restaurant might be a little stuffy and hot. There will have more customers during at night. Samira by Asian Terrace Platter @RM49.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - It is a set of Vietnamese famous delicacies in one plate. The best of all is the mango salad which is sourishly sweet. This platter is fit for 2 pax only. Prawn Tom Yam Clear Soup @RM24.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - They do not sell tom yam in a big bowl. It is all comes in an i...

Restoran Makanan Laut Lau Heong, Bandar Baru Sentul

Image
This is my first time dining at Sentul and glad to know this great Chinese restaurant which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Lau Heong. This is the crowd at 6.00pm on Sunday. Crazy right? Let you see from another angle. They just own one shop lot but seems like owning an extra 4 parking space but still they are people standing and waiting for their seat including me! Curry Fish Head @RM25.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - This is their signature. You can choose a normal fish meat or a fish head like this. The curry is not really spicy at all. It contains more coconut milk taste than the curry itself. The fragrance of the curry and the coconut milk work perfectly. I can smell it before it is served. The fish heads are soft, tender, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend to everyone to try. Ginger Squid and Prawn @RM18.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 4/5 - Hardly taste the ginger but what makes me...

Tommy Le Baker @Viva Residency

Image
Tommy Le Baker is opened and managed by a local Chinese, Mr. Tommy Lee whom mastered his bakery skills at France. By bringing his wonderful breads and pastries to Malaysia in a small shop at Viva Residency, Sentul. Awkwardly, the restaurant does not open for breakfast which is pretty surprising for me. They served their bakeries for lunch and dinner. Of course, you can have your afternoon tea here too. But I doubt you can have your dinner here during weekends and public holidays because they closed at 6pm. They make fresh breads, sandwiches and pastries in the tiny shop itself. The shop is so tiny which their seat is pretty limited and lack of privacy as the tables are almost sticking with each other. My spoiled princess sister once again has to tag along with her brother. She seems to be obligated all the time. Hopefully she won't get pissed off one day. That is the boss, Mr. Tommy Lee that I mentioned earlier communicating with his customer in French. Ready made s...
