Restoran Kg. Kulim, Wakaf Bahru

We have waited for an hour for our food at Restoran Kg. Kulim. Even this little girl finally had her very late dinner. This place is introduced by one of my customer at Kota Bahru. Honestly, it is really hard to find other good food apart of Malay food. This restaurant is opened by a Thai.
Even though they are Thai, having a pot of rice like this is still a Malay tradition in it.

Overall: 4/5 - This restaurant specialty is their chicken because their chicken is they rear it their own so which is consider as kampung chicken. When it is a kampung chicken, without a doubt, the meat is very tender and delicious. You like it or not, they will prepare a whole chicken for you once you ordered this dish. They will not keep the chicken refrigerated to maintain the freshness.

Overall: 3/5 - Not a very nice looking tomyam. Lack of creativity too with just prawn and squid as the seafood. However, the tomyam soup is really good without a doubt. Original Thai tomyam

To locate this restaurant is not easy, I am trying to recognize the road when my customer taking me here but the road is too dark, too narrow and too many turns. I am totally lost. The worst part is after checking the Google Map, there is no such road drawn on the map. All I can do for you is to pinpoint this location which you can click on the link by the end of this post. Hopefully it helps.

Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.

Overall: 3/5 - It is also known as their signature Symphony of Starters, which takes you across the breadth of Indochinese cuisine with Vietnamese shrimp crystal rolls, lemongrass prawns, Cambodian-style deep-fried shrimp cakes and minced chicken on cinnamon sticks. All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.
