Arwana Jetty, Pulau Perhentian Besar

On the way to Pulau Perhentian! There are a lot of jetty in every each Pulau Perhentian Besar and Pulau Perhentian Kecil. I will just name the famous jetties at Pulau Perhentian Besar which are Arwana Jetty, Perhentian Island Resort and Tuna Bay. While Pulau Perhentian Kecil which are Coral Bay and Long Beach. The boat ticket depends on the season which are RM90.00/return for high season (April - October) and RM100.00/return for low season (November - March). The price does include Marine Conservation Fee of RM5.00/pax. This fund will be given to our local government.
Off we go to our desire destination which is Arwana Jetty. Can you see the big difference between this photo and the previous photo? Yes, the sea. This is the clear blue water and the above is the ugly brownish water
Arwana Jetty is just in front of us. This place is more to a relaxing and peaceful island because there is no nightlife in Pulau Perhentian Besar. All the shops and restaurants are closed after 10.00pm. If you are a nightlife person, you need to choose Pulau Perhentian Kecil.
This is the meaning of relaxing and peaceful island. Not as crowded as Pulau Perhentian Kecil. So you have own spacious place for sun bathing.
These benches are provided by the restaurants or the chalets themselves. It is free if you are staying in the chalet otherwise it is charged.
You can do canoeing which is provided by some chalets for some small fee.
For free activity, there is a volleyball field for everyone to share and play. Everybody is friendly here and mostly they do not know each other.
If you have a bunch of friends, you can have your own sweet time and spaces at the places you want.
What happened??? There was a sad and tragic things happened the moment we were there. As you can see, the local authorities are carrying a dead body of a sea turtle which had been wash ashore after hit dead by a motorboat when this turtle was trying to take a breath.
They dug a deep hole which is big enough for this sea turtle. Before it is thrown into the hole, a guy poured coffee powder on the turtle to get rid of the decaying smell.
Goodbye, turtle! This is what happened when the sea is swarm by humans. Motorboats are everywhere, divers and snorkelers are everywhere to kill the sea nature. The best to take care of our sea is not to treat the sea as a tourist spot. But it is going to happen.
Everyone was witnessing the sad moment. The atmosphere was pretty down and very emotional, no joke.
Let's see other creatures I found here and it begins with this.
Squirrels are a lot here and almost like everywhere!
Found a grasshopper which it thoughts it is invisible. I can even capture it at this range so you can imagine how close can I be. Or maybe it is just photogenic.
A lot of natural big rocks around here and it is a best place to take have our photography session.
