At Desaru with Love

How many of you know about Desaru? And how many of you have been there? I think not many people has been to Desaru. Desaru is a beautiful beach which does not get much attention by the government especially the Ministry of Tourism. The reason why I am saying this is because most of the activities are not in the sea but more at the land which are watching crocodile at Croc World Teluk Sengat, riding ostrich at Desaru Ostrich Farm, fishing at Tanjung Balau Fishing Village, fruits picking at Desaru Fruit Farm and watching fireflies along Johor River. How about sea activities? I want jet ski, banana boat and many more!!!
Travel to Desaru unlike old times. There is a one lane highway with such a beautiful bridge heading straight to Desaru. The highway is known as Senai - Desaru Highway.
Not all beaches are opened for public and safe for swimming. This is a beach at Muzium Nelayan is not for swimming because this location has a lot of rocks. Please follow my location given in this post to point you to the exact location for the public beach. The parking rate is RM4.00 per day. Bathing is RM1.00 per person.

Such a beautiful blue green sea. This beach is so clean and attractive which you would not hesitate to jump into it. I just do not understand why government and major investors are more interested with the dirty Port Dickson beach than this.

Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. By the appearance of it, Restoran Yu Hing definitely doesn't look appealing enough to become a tourist spot for you as your dining choice. However, I am still going to introduce to you their noodle. They do serve other variety of food but something worth to be here is only their noodle which is known as Beaufort Fried Noodle. Beaufort is a name of a town in Sabah. This is their very own local delicacies which you won't find it easily at any part of Malaysia or even Sabah. You have to be either in Kota Kinabalu or Beaufort to experience it. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. Tasik Biru Kangkar Pulai, Johor Bahru

At Johor Bahru, there is a majestic blue lake which is known as Tasik Biru Kangkar Pulai. It is a hidden gem within Masai, Johor Bahru.  The reason it is blue is because of the iron ore quarry nearby. The blue color is from the mineral called copper sulphate but I am not sure if that's the real reason for it because whenever there is a blue lake like this, there will be a iron ore quarry beside of it. Another good example is Tasik Biru Bukit Ibam Muadzam Shah, Pahang. Taman Monumen at Taman Tamadun Islam is introduced to the public in 2014 but little people know of its existence which is a pretty sad fact especially for Malaysian themselves. I traveled purposely for this spot to make a point for a visit to experience it myself. In order to attract more tourists into here, they really put in a lot of goodies in it. It is pretty worth it to educate yourself and your children about your own religion and other religion for non-Muslim visitors. They even come out with a passport to encourage return customers to revisit again for up to 50% discount. This is the operation hours you should take note especially you are planning to visit on Friday. For foreigners, I hope this bus schedule will be useful for you. Shika Snow Mountain, Shangri-la

After an overrated trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, I had my disappointment redeemed by visiting Shika Snow Mountain. The highest point that we can go as a tourist is only 4500m instead of 4680m at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. However, it is fine by us for many reasons so do read on. It is quite easy to get to the snow mountain from Shangri-la because it stands 4 miles (7 kilometers) to the southwest of the county. Take bus line 9 from Shangri-la Passenger Station, and get off at the terminus. The bus is available from 7.30am to 5.00pm at hourly intervals. The fare is CNY 3. Take a taxi to the scenic area at about CNY 30 for a single trip. Charter a car, and it costs about CNY 60 for a round trip. You should agree a time with the driver for him to pick you up for the return trip. I took the option 3 which is the convenient options ever as you don't have to waste time to take the bus. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lijiang, Yunnan

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a most famous tourist spot in Lijiang. You are not consider being at Lijiang if you do not visit this snow mountain. That's what people says but I have different opinion, I will explain further so read on. To get to here: Take a bus at Yuhe Parking Lot near the northern gate of Lijiang Old Down. You can buy the ticket in Tourist Service Center at the northern end of Lanhua Street, opposite Tianyu Hotel. The bus leaves for the Snow Mountain at 8.30am and returns at 4.30pm; the bus fare costs CNY40 per person. Take a taxi / car/ mini-van or carpool together from the downtown area. The distance is around 15 kilometers (10 miles). It takes around 40 minutes. The round-trip charter rate is around CNY 200. Or sign up with a local tour agency at Lijiang Old Town just like I did for CNY400 per pax. My Kluang first Korean Restaurant! Wow...getting so proud with Kluang lately because of their varieties in food which has given me more choices. The Korean Restaurant name is Dong Seoul Korea Restaurant. The crowds are pretty good because most of the local has not really tried a Korean cuisine yet. They will not reluctant to try something new especially K-Pop and K-Drama have always been a hit here! These are their side dishes and they do show their quantity. But the quality is real bad. I refilled none! First time ever I never asked for a refill. This soup is also a part of the side dishes. Pork Neck in progress... This is the worst ever pork neck I have eaten so far. The meat is overcooked and it becomes so hard to chew. Avoid this. Pork belly with the hot & spicy sauce. Ham Rong Mountain is located close to the center of Sa Pa Town and its elevation is the lowest point in the South of 1,450m, the highest is 1,850m. Topography with an average slope angle of about 30 degrees. Ham Rong is surrounded by many different types of mountains, evergreen forests with other broadleaf trees. With the height of the top, there have almost no more trees, sporadic bamboo mountain and wind of dust. From the top, you will get to see the whole Sapa town. It is an amazing scenery to be at.
