Tangkak Beef, Kluang

My girl always ringing over my ears during her stay with me and my parents at Kluang for a month by requesting me to take her to eat the famous beef noodles at Tangkak Beef. Tangkak Beef is originated at a small tiny town at Tangkak which located at Segamat. For those who does not know where is Segamat, Segamat is at the northern part of Johor state. Segamat reminds me about my college life and also a long lost good friend of mine, Ms. Jeslyn Lee. Wonder how she is doing now.

Anyway, let's move on. The primary reason for not taking her to Tangkak Beef is because I am prohibited to eat beef due to my religious reason. I never know that Tangkak Beef does sell chicken as well until I went there with the kind intention of "watching" her to eat. Last time when I studied at Segamat, they do not serve chicken at all or any other meat. Seems like things do change after 10 years.

Amazingly the chefs are all young lads.

Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.

All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.
