Sungai Road Laksa @Jin Shui Kopitiam, Townshend Rd

I always like to eat food that is using charcoal because I still remember my mum's soup using charcoal when I was small. Today I have tasted a Laksa cooked by these charcoal. This stall is called Sungai Road Laksa. It is located inside Jin Shui Kopitiam.
This is the stall and guess how much their laksa is. Yes, only S$2.00! How can you resist such a laksa selling at such price at Singapore?? They only sell laksa and only one type of mee. So basically you just tell them how many bowls you want or maybe you would like to remove the oysters only.
Close shot on the chef. There are 2 chefs and they are brothers whom equally old. The way they prepare the laksa is to rinse the noodle two times like what the photo above before put the final one in it.
Look at the queue here. More than 20 peoples in the queue. From this photo you can see another white hair chef is preparing the laksa. The reason for the long queue is because there is only one pot to prepare the laksa. It takes 30 seconds for a bowl. It is enough to create the queue.

Overall: 4/5 - This is a milky type of spicy laksa. I really love it. They already cut the noodles before serving to you so basically you are just eat the laksa without the chopstick but only the spoon. I really enjoy this laksa very much. Very shiok!

Overall: 3/5 - It is also known as their signature Symphony of Starters, which takes you across the breadth of Indochinese cuisine with Vietnamese shrimp crystal rolls, lemongrass prawns, Cambodian-style deep-fried shrimp cakes and minced chicken on cinnamon sticks. All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.

Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.
