G7 Sin Ma Live Seafood Restaurant, Geylang Rd

In this post, I would like to give a full credit to my old secondary schoolmate, Mr. Chin Kah Shing for taking us to a nice and delicious frog porridge. The place is at G7 Sin Ma Live Seafood Restaurant located along the famous Geyland Rd. To those who does not know what Geylang famous for, I will let you know that this is the red light district at Singapore. Well, at the same time...there are lots of hawker food here too!

Well, back to the topic...as you can see the restaurant name is "Live Seafood" but why we are having frog porridge? According to my friend, the seafood here are greatly over priced and does not guarantee the freshness of the seafood. Before we arrived this location, he advised us to just order the frog porridge and avoid any other seafood.

They having promotion for their porridge and we picked "3 frogs free 2 frogs" and 3 frogs will be cooked in Gong Bao method (the main ingredient is dried chilies) and another will be in Jiang Chong method (the main ingredient are ginger and onion). At the same time, the waitress keep pushing us to order their fish and when we rejected her offer, she given us a very unpleasant looking face. What a service!

Overall: 3/5 - S$22.00 is the price of the all the above package. Their porridge is not as smooth as what we had before at Hon Kee Porridge but it has its own unique taste which is equally delicious.

This restaurant is occupied at the corner lot of the right side of Geylang Lorong 3 while they have another restaurant which is just opposite of this road. Overall, the frog porridge is superb! They have lots of customers too! Almost 80% of their tables are occupied. About the seafood, I will never want to have my seafood cuisine at Singapore. I can't eat peacefully with such price which I can eat gloriously at Restoran Todak(Orang Asli), JB. It is located just opposite this land...ermm...100km away maybe? LOL. Last but not least, thanks to Mr.Chin for this frog feast!

Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.

All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.
