Restoran Ful Lai, Kuchai Lama

My sister started to get bored with me after all these while my morning breakfast for most of the time is dim sum. Sorry sister, it is way healthier than nasi lemak or roti canai I supposed. So this time we had our dim sum at Restoran Ful Lai, Kuchai Lama.


As early as 6.30am, we were there to warm their seats. Hahaha...very quiet and peaceful with no cars jamming the street and crowds filling up the tables.

Porridge with Century Egg: This porridge has just making me to hate eating porridge even more. Too salty!!! - 2/5
Ha Kau: Normal for me because I still prefer the skin that is not so thick. - 3/5
Siew Mai with Prawn: Prawn is not tangy. - 2/5
Siew Mai: Good. If this also they can't do well, I think they cannot survive for long - 4/5
Siew Mai with Seaweed: Normal to me because I do not taste any different with a normal siew mai. - 3/5
Lo Mai Kai: Salty! The waiter keep hard sell us this which is like telling us this is their signature but it is too disappointing for us. - 2/5
Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun with Prawns: I can't really taste the prawns. All I can taste is the flour. - 1/5
All of the dim sum above are selling at RM3.50 per plate/bowl except Loh Mai Kai which cost @RM3.60
Located at the corner of the shop lot but taste unimpressive. However, they have their crowds especially at late nights.

I used to whine that Japanese cuisine in Johor Bahru is horrifying and disappointing until I meet Warakuya Japanese Garden at Mount Austin. From the exterior itself, this restaurant looks so grand and luxury. The first thing comes to my mind is the price will be hefty. However, when I saw the queue in front of the restaurant, I already doubt their price is going to be really expensive. I know people just loves good food but at the minimum price. Who doesn't anyway? One of the best part of the restaurant is they are providing 42" LCD TV, free flow of drinks and seating area for the queue. Never know about this place until I watched Ah Xian from the TV Programme which is known as "Taste with Jason". This restaurant is known as Chong Siew Lam Restaurant. No signboard to show this place but this is the only the crowded place in the whole street. Where to see such a view at KL while enjoying your red wine? Here we are at Luna Bar which is located at the level 34 of the Pacific Regency Hotel Suite. By occupying the roof top of the hotel, you are able to see this great view. Along with me is Suyin, the DJ wannabe that I talked about previously and now we are here enjoying our beautiful Sunday night drinking red wine and feel the breeze. Really is an amazing experience! They have a DJ playing R&B songs and sitting right in the tower which is located at the top right of this picture. By the way, no dance floor provided. Long Beach, Pulau Perhentian Kecil

After staying so many days at the calm and relaxing Pulau Perhentian Besar , I am started to feel kind of bored. I wanted to feel the nightlife on an island so I was advised to head to the Pulau Perhentian Kecil. There are two beaches here which are Long Beach and Coral Bay. Right now I am heading to Long Beach by a water taxi which cost me RM25/pax. The first impression I had when put my first step on this beach my feeling is WOW! Truly different concept! This beach is so much happening. You can rent this big umbrella for your sunbathing. This is something you don't see at Pulau Perhentian Besar definitely! Now, you need to understand where you are.  Lots of cafe and restaurants here for you to pick! You will be spoiled with the choices you have here. There are snorkeling gear for you to rent at RM5 - RM10 depending to the season. But the problem is too many boats along this beach, it is very dangerous for you to snorkel here. Once again, it is my date with my god daughter with her family. I have chosen Le Pont Boulangerie because the restaurant is big and spacious for these two little cuties to run about. This is their second branch in Klang Valley area. Their first branch is at Old Klang Road. On the ground floor, they have a selection of bread and pastries. You can order some desserts here to dine in too.  At the first floor, it is solely for their diners. They have a hanging bridge look alike in the middle of the restaurant. Le Pont means "The Bridge" in French. So this bridge is their icon. As I have mentioned earlier, their space is spacious and the design is exquisite too. My son can't sit at all when he was here. Another cafe is opened at Sri Petaling which is known as Soft Launch Cafe & Desserts. This cafe is opened at the First Floor to enjoy lower rental fee. In order to make themselves notable to the public, they did invited the media to help them to promote them. The cafe is just occupied a single shop lot but the moment I stepped in this cafe, it looks bigger than I thought it should be. They even divided the cafe into smoking area and non-smoking area. The food selection is not a lot and mostly pasta which is simple and you do not need a large kitchen to prepare it. The kitchen has been shrunken to put more tables and that's why the cafe looks bigger than usual. Cafe Latte @RM10.00. Fair price but unfortunately they over roasted the beans. It is a dark roast bean. Not much crazy activity to do when you are travelling with the elderly. So I have no choice but to visit this amazing flower exhibition which they are selling it for Chinese New Year. I think I should reduce my words for this blog and let you all admire all their creativity on flowers. Hello Kitty! What is that? Tapioca? Not really sure. Apple trees are for sale too!!! I wonder if the apples are sweet. Apart of amazing flowers, there are amazing structures as well.
