Banana Boat, Port Dickson

After the boring Jet Ski, we move on to a little real excitement which is the banana boat. RM15/pax and require a minimum of 3 pax. Luckily we are just enough for the ride.

There are two best bak kut teh in Kota Kinabalu that I have known so far. One is known as Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh  and the other one is known as Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh. There are just located one street away from each other. However, both of them got the same jam packed customers as you can see from the picture above. You just cannot detect any available seat around. This is how good they are. The one and only chef in action to prepare the whole bak kut teh to all the patrons. The surprising part is the serving speed was extremely fast. Usually when you see so many people, you might think you will need to wait for quite some time but he can make sure you will get your food at the fastest speed. These are the prices after GST is imposed.  They do have other dishes to serve too apart of their famous Bak Kut Teh. Hatyai or Pattaya may have the famous reputation in a Ladyboy Show but Bangkok is not that bad as well. For those who does not know what a ladyboy means in simple English is transsexual from a man become a woman. Hopefully you are much clearer now. There is a demand for this in Thailand. So I am very determine to watch a show where all the performers on the stage were man. This is how the seating like and you can choose any seat you want when purchasing the ticket. My advice is to choose the middle seat and possibly more to the front. For now, seat back and relax and enjoy the rest of their show in my photos below. Can you imagine they were man? Mi Na Rae Korean Restaurant, Sri Petaling

It has been a very long time since I have written about a Korean cuisine. I have been upset by a lot of new Korean restaurants recently until the point of time I truly forgot when was the best time I had a good Korean meal before. Lately, as I have been keep exploring the food places in Sri Petaling, my Elayna Jie recommended me again a restaurant called Mi Na Rae. Mi Na Rae Korean Restaurant is located at the first floor. Have you ever wonder why most of the Korean likes to open their restaurant upstairs? I really do not know why and it seems like a culture to them. The set up is very humble and cozy. You won't see any haze in this restaurant like you used to see in other Korean restaurant where they will cook in front of you. This restaurant's policy is no cooking in front of their customer. Since Charlie Brown Cafe is not a good choice so we just have to select another better restaurant to dine in. In the end we decided to dine in a Vietnamese Restaurant which is called Du Viet. The reason we choose this restaurant is because Ann Jee cannot eat spicy food at all. I wonder if she is a true Malaysian. I really like their design here. They are very creative! We have most of the South East Asian food like Indonesian cuisine, Thai cuisine and Vietnamese cuisine. How come I never heard of Philippino cuisine? Or I am too naive to realize there is one? It is my day with my little princess, Ying Ying. She is getting cuter every single day. We had our own sweet time at Coliseum Cafe & Grill Room. This restaurant has been operating since 1921 and this is the first time after 92 years, they started to branch out their restaurant to Plaza 33 and Mid Valley. This restaurant has clinched Malaysia Book of Records award for the "Longest Operating Western Colonial - Themed Restaurant. Their first ever restaurant is at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.  It is not easy to sustain this long. They surely has their uniqueness in their menu to keep their customers happy. One of the reason is they are pork free restaurant. This easily encourage Malay citizens which stands more than 70% in Malaysia to enjoy western food in this restaurant. Upperstar Steak & Chicken Restaurant @Lintas Plaza

First thing to touch down at Kota Kinabalu is looking for a good food. So I went circling around Lintas Plaza and I found a couple of restaurants that are almost full house. Pretty amazing to see how F&B industry in Kota Kinabalu turned out to be this good. One of them is Upperstar Steak & Chicken Restaurant. This is a chain western restaurant which I can almost see at every corner of Kota Kinabalu. I got interested and here I am to check them out. One thing I need to compliment the restaurant is their well design. All their restaurants are having this complicated vintage design but they do look elegant!  The crowd here are continuously flowing like a river. The moment a seat is empty, the next moment there is a group of customers are waiting beside it. There are almost more than 50 tables in this restaurant and they are 99% fully taken. It has been quite some time I have not had butter crab in KL. The last memory is still vividly in my mind. To refresh my mind again, I decided to dine in Restoran New Wong Poh. I found this restaurant by just typing "Butter Crab in KL" and this restaurant name was listed 6 out of 10 results in the first page. This restaurant must be real good! Restoran Loon Sing which is located just at the exit of Nilai toll. This place will be the location for my brother to hold his wedding dinner this year. I pretty like the ample space of parking, the huge buildings of it which makes it so grand.  This is how it looks like at night and this is the main entrance of the restaurant and the right side of it is their conventional halls which can fit more than thousands. If you have browse through their menu, you will see some of dishes are labelled with silver award or bronze award winning medal. Please do take note that the last award won was in 2006. I am quite curious why they do not have anymore rewards after that. I used to whine that Japanese cuisine in Johor Bahru is horrifying and disappointing until I meet Warakuya Japanese Garden at Mount Austin. From the exterior itself, this restaurant looks so grand and luxury. The first thing comes to my mind is the price will be hefty. However, when I saw the queue in front of the restaurant, I already doubt their price is going to be really expensive. I know people just loves good food but at the minimum price. Who doesn't anyway? One of the best part of the restaurant is they are providing 42" LCD TV, free flow of drinks and seating area for the queue. You will never know time flies when you are having those things at the waiting area. Something that Sushi Zanmai needs to consider. Welcome Seafood Restaurant, Kota Kinabalu

Seafood restaurants in Kota Kinabalu is just too many to be listed. However, among all of them, one of the most outstanding is Welcome Seafood Restaurant. Reason I am saying this is not just their food is delicious but also because they has the greatest crowd over here. Most of their tables are big round table which easily fit 10 pax and most of these tables are fully seated. When I reach there at 6.00pm, the crabs are these much. At 7.00pm, this aquarium is emptied. Ridiculously fast! Crab is gone. We still have live seafood for you to choose from. Or else frozen seafood to be choose from I prefer oyster like this. But I would like to try this oyster instead. This is not a wet towel.
