Country Mamma Chicken & Ribs @Suntec City

Since already at Singapore, I have to make myself available for my dearest Ah Yee! She really "sayang" us since when I am small. A simple meet up like this is necessary. So we went for a walk at Suntec City and decided to have our dinner at Country Mamma Chicken & Ribs. We choose this restaurant because we were attracted by their Mushroom Soup with Pastry.

Overall: 3/5 - Nice colouration with crunchy walnut to mix together in this salad. However, the orange is quite sourish. I hope they can at least take more effort to choose a sweet with a little sourish type of orange.

Overall: 3/5 - Orange gravy with Chicken. A bold combination but I personally think it is rather suit a lamb rather than a chicken. This is because lamb has the gamey taste and this orange gravy will just suit to get rid of the taste. If it is mixed with chicken, it will just spoiled the originality of the own chicken flavour itself.

Country Pork Ribs @S$23.90
Outlook: 3/5

Overall: 2/5 - The gravy spoiled everything. The gravy carries sourish flavour which once again spoiled the originality of a pork ribs taste. In the end, I have to scoop the gravy away

Mushroom Soup with Pastry @S$5.90

Overall: 3/5 - For god sake, can you taste your own food before you serve to your customers? It is so salty!

Terrible terrible terrible. When you see a long queue, you will face disappointment. When you do not see a queue, you also face a disappointment. I don't know what is going on with Singapore here. Do I need to pay 2x more only I able to taste something similar standard like I had in Malaysia???

Anyway, I have learnt a lesson here. When you see a long queue, you can try but no guarantee. When you do not see a queue, don't even think of trying!

Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.

Overall: 3/5 - It is also known as their signature Symphony of Starters, which takes you across the breadth of Indochinese cuisine with Vietnamese shrimp crystal rolls, lemongrass prawns, Cambodian-style deep-fried shrimp cakes and minced chicken on cinnamon sticks. All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.
