I love to meet my old classmates at another state or country. This time I had the opportunity to meet one of my dearest friend during old times, Chan See at Edelweiss Cafe, Penang. She is still that pretty that I used to know of. She is also very nice and friendly enough to squeeze some of his precious time from work to take us for a good lunch with us.
Edelweiss Cafe is opened in a very old historical shop lot in Armenian Street. If you know the famous Ernest Zacharevic who draw the most famous brother and sister on a bicycle, that is called the Armenian Street.
There are a lot of antique in this restaurant. Even their tables and chairs are from the old time Chinese kopitiam. Very vintage and creative enough to merge a western restaurant in Penang style. By the way, Edelweiss cafe is a German-Swiss restaurant. It is because the owner's husband is a German-Swiss.
They do offer an affordable lunch set at RM24.00++ which is very attractive for office lady like Chan See.
It comes with standard salad, pea soup, drink, ice cream and a choice of 2 different types of main course.
First is the Ham & Egg which is not really worth it from the portion that you can see.
Second is the German sausage which is as delicious as always. Never get bored with German's creativity with their sausage.
There are two types of ice cream to be choose from which are mango flavor and chocolate flavor.
The signature of this restaurant is their Cheese Fondue which is meant for 2 pax. This is an authentic way of Swiss way of eating the cheese.
The only thing it is given for us to dip into the cheese is these bread.

Overall: 3/5 - The taste formed by coagulation of milk is very strong until you thought they mixed some alcohol in it. The taste is very delightful and I have never taste a cheese that is so original like this. I wish there are some other things for me to dip in it apart of the bread. Quite bored after a while when keep having the same bread to dip in all the time. Nonetheless, this is a must order dish if you are coming here at Edelweiss Cafe.

This is the Edelweiss Cafe which you probably will neglected it if you are not passing by here by foot. Overall, I do find this is quite a good restaurant to dine in especially for their cheese fondue but their price slightly higher than the local Penang could accept.

Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! Most of people think if you travel to Hatyai and not visiting their temples, you are just wasting your time at Hatyai. As for my personal opinion, if you come to Hatyai and did not go to Sports Shooting Club (SSC) Hatyai to experience the shooting experience with a real gun, I think you are not just wasting your time at Hatyai but you are wasting your time being a human. You only live once and there is no better way to understand these guns than coming over to SSC.   Their gun selections are enough to satisfy your urge. From rifle, pistols, revolvers to shotguns. You would be surprised that their rifle is the cheapest. The price is stated from 890 baht nett for a 15 rounds.  I have tried the rifle, beretta and this Smith and Wesson 4506 .45 ACP. After taking the cable car from Harbourfront to Sentosa Island, Skyline Luge is what you will see when you reach there at Imbiah Lookout. Riding this can get you faster to the Siloso Beach and extremely exciting too! The price is as above and as you can see there is an express queue charges if you got bored of queuing. Kota Kinabalu doesn't have huge hawker center like you will see in Peninsular Malaysia or Kuching but I have to reckon that the best hawker center in Kota Kinabalu is in Kedai Kopi Lotus. Kedai Kopi Lotus themselves do serve their own food which was very terrible and beyond edible state. So do not eat anything from this restaurant. You just pick the stalls beside this restaurant. There are 4 stalls which I will introduce one by one to you but the only stall which will not be introduced is the stall which is selling Guo Tie ( a kind of dumplings) -  not my favorite. The best and the most popular stall of all is this chicken wing stall. Everyone is there lining up for them either taking away or dining there. You may need to wait for 15-20 minutes for it. Leaf & Co. Cafe, Petaling Street

Last week, I went to another "new" cafe which is known as Leaf & Co near Petaling Street. It is considered new to me because I really cannot keep up the pace of the cafe opening like almost everyday in Klang Valley.  What the cafe is doing is to remain the old looking interior with the old paint already chipping off and cement pasting everywhere. Even the floor is not marbled. How brilliant it is to maintain the retro look of it but not doing any renovation at all.  This is their smoking area which you can sit and relax looking at other people stuck in the jam. This is a kind of old architecture which is quite popular in the past which is have hole at the center of your house. It is really great to see a tree grows inside a shop but I do not know what will happened when it rains. Restoran Soon Sin is one of the biggest chain bakuteh restaurant in Johor Bahru. They have quite a lot of branches in Johor Bahru. I made my visit here to understand why it is so famous in Johor Bahru. Besides selling just Bakuteh, they do sell Lei Cha too. Not having a great start as the boss is so rude and impolite as I taking my photos in his premises. Yes, the chef is the boss for this branch. The bakuteh itself is not include all these internal parts and pork balls. If you want them, you need to pay an extra on top of your existing order. You may want to skip it as you can see they do not cover it and the flies are everywhere. It was really a disgusting scene. They serve their bakuteh according to the pax you have on the table and the price is RM10.00++/pax with just the lean meat and the broth itself only. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price.
