QBA Latin Grill & Bar @The Westin KL

It is me and Caroline again at a surprisingly romantic place at Qba Latin Grill & Bar which is located right inside the famous The Westin KL. I came across with this restaurant a while back after reading a book recommending this restaurant for their famous Latin American Cuisine but never know this place can be so romantic and peaceful.
The decoration here are very Latin American style with an angel statue watching over the bar below.
First storey is the dining place and the second storey is the drinking place where the live band will be there by 10.30pm. So this place is pretty quiet before 10.30pm.
Very romantic dining area but they have some issue for having mosquitoes in their restaurant. Well, a low light restaurant like this is truly a favourite for mosquitoes. This is something they need to rectify. Apart of  that, their menu is quite limited of choices and what is even worst is some of them are no longer available because their meat is out of stock and not being replenished. This is something really shouldn't happened in a high class restaurant like this.
This is the Tomato Tortilla Soup. The waiter display what is inside first before pouring the tomato soup in it. This is a sharing portion for two. If you are having it alone, you will have larger bowl for this soup.

Overall: 3/5 - This is how it is look like after pouring the soup. The taste is less sour than I have expected which is just nice and delicious. The thick texture with a cheesy cube in it has enhanced the whole fragrance of this simple looking tomato soup.

Overall: 3/5 - This is their signature which is by preparing 3 pieces of different beef in 100gm each and served in 3 different styles. I unable to tell you what beef they are serving right here because it is different from the menu itself. The reason it was different because they are some beefs are out of stock and the waiter has no idea when the restaurant is going to replenish them. So basically he suggested us to use whatever beef is left in their kitchen to make something like this for us. Maybe it does sound too casually done but the outcome was surprisingly delicious. 3 different types of unique taste and match the meat itself so well.

This is a closer look on the most left which is blurry. I really like how they present this dish on my table and how creative they are to have different taste to suit a customer who loves to explore different things at the same time like me and Caroline.
With additional RM98.00++, you will get to taste their each glass of red wine which they match with the beef that you are going to taste earlier on. A taste of each meat and a drink of each wine. Totally new way of dining for us.
Probably the one who enjoyed the most is Caroline because she just loves red wine so much. This is like a jackpot for her.

Overall: 3/5 - Very juicy fish with every bite contains pure seafood freshness in it. The price is a little too high for just one piece like this.

Caroline is going to make a dessert for me?? Oh, I am so touched!
Nah, it was Amri who was the waiter for us on that day. He was going to show off some skills he has in culinary. Amri was a very professional waiter on that day for us. He seems to be enjoyed his living by serving people. Very attentive! Two thumbs up for him!
Here he goes by heating the brown sugar.
He was making the restaurant's signature Flambe Bananas. All these presentation will be done in front of your table. So you can see how your dessert is made.
The caramelized sauce will be cooked together with a banana. He said this is very simple and can be done at home too!

Overall: 3/5 - Nothing wrong with how he cooked. It is just that the cake itself is less impressive. If is a chocolate lava cake will be perfect for this. However, it is still a good dessert just that I am expecting something higher after all the performance...by the way, this dessert contains alcohol.

Overall, we love and enjoyed this place so much despite the mosquitoes and the very limited choices in their menu. Those are something this restaurant really need to work on. Apart of that, it is perfect!

Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Will I Revisit?: No because I have tried what I have wanted to try but it is recommended to everyone to visit at least once to experience the legendary Shorthorn.
