Restoran Xin Dong Ting @Kuchai Lama

In this post I would like to comment about a restaurant which is serving Hunan cuisine. Hunan is a province from China and the owner is migrated from Hunan and opened a restaurant in Malaysia. This is the second branch. This restaurant has a really bad service like almost any where you can see in China. No smile, expect you to order fast, do not like to entertain too many questions about what the food is made of and the worst part is they do not care if you can finish the food.

Overall: 3/5 - Slight spicy and delicious for a simple eggplant and long beans.

Fried meat in farmer style @RM22.00++

Overall: 1/5 - Hardly any meat in there. What you can see is onion, leek, red chilli and green chilli. The worst part it cost RM22.00++.

Fried sausage with dried tofu fillet @RM28.00+

Overall: 2/5 - Authentic Hunan flavour in it, this is what you are going to taste if you are at Hunan province, China. Exactly the same. The sausage is home made and that is why it is expensive.

Overall: 1/5 - This is a vegetarian dish which is mainly made from pickled vegetable. I do not like it and it is really not delicious at all. My wife who is from China said that they do not know how to cook this dish because the taste is way different than she had in China.

White Pepper Pig Stomach Soup @RM18.00++

Overall: 3/5 - Very delicious soup but it is just a little spicy because this soup is full of white pepper taste. Probably the only dish that I have appreciated so far.

Closer look inside the soup which basically is just pig stomach.

Overall: 3/5 - The appearance looks a little scary with all the red chilli and chilli oil but actually it is not very spicy. It is slightly sweet in it and it taste really not bad at all.

Actually one thing I cannot accept is we ordered 7 types of dishes for 4 persons, the lady boss did not stop us by telling us the portion is might be too big for us and we might not finish the food. She just keep on taking order and very happy that we ordered so many food. I do not recommend such unethical restaurant to my dear readers.
