It is all begins with a plan, a birthday plan... For this one perfect plan, firstly, I have to book a seat at Star Coffee House & Restaurant one week earlier because of the limited seats in this restaurant and extremely crowded place especially on weekends. Secondly, is to gather every single people we known of in Kluang to gather. Thirdly, order a birthday cake but that is not a difficult part. What cake to order is the challenging one. Lastly, to remain the whole dinner plan very secretive. 

Hard to find a pretty decent restaurant like this in Kluang.
Can you see the crowd? Amazingly, it is not stuffy inside at all. The air ventilation is pretty well built. I believe every single patrons not just enjoying the food but also the environment as well.

Overall: 4/5 - This is their signature dish, Crispy Duck. Must order because the duck meat is well cooked and the crispiness is just perfect. Best accompany with their "man tou". Perfect combination!

Overall: 3/5 - This is their 2nd signature dish. Usually a poorly made steamed chicken you will still see a lot of reddish chicken blood still very visible enough to spoil your appetite but as for this, you will hardly see it. However, I am still a fan of roasted chicken.

Overall: 3/5 - Very delicious sea cucumber. In case you have not seen a real sea cucumber, you can see them here. The side ingredients to accompany with the sea cucumber is almost the same like the one you see in their signature tofu. Not really much of creativity in this dish.

Overall: 2/5 - This is the worst dish for the night. Not really kangkung belacan...is more like kangkung chilies. Oily and salty to make the dish even worst.

Once the meal is finished, that was the time we revealed our true intention to the birthday girl. I think she had a heavy psychologically impact after that. The symptoms are stunned for a couple of minutes and start talking nonsense after she blew the candle. By the way, this is the Chocolate Ice Cream cake from Milky House. We finished the whole cake on the spot because it was a great dessert on top of our heavy meals earlier on.
As usual, let's end our surprise birthday dinner with a great group photo. Smile everyone!
Great food, great ambiance and great service as well! Good cooperation from the staffs whom helped us bringing the cake, cut the cake and play birthday songs for us. I would prefer if all the staffs come around our tables and sing for us. That will be perfect!

Sports Shooting Club Hatyai (SSC)

Most of people think if you travel to Hatyai and not visiting their temples, you are just wasting your time at Hatyai. As for my personal opinion, if you come to Hatyai and did not go to Sports Shooting Club (SSC) Hatyai to experience the shooting experience with a real gun, I think you are not just wasting your time at Hatyai but you are wasting your time being a human. You only live once and there is no better way to understand these guns than coming over to SSC.   Their gun selections are enough to satisfy your urge. From rifle, pistols, revolvers to shotguns. You would be surprised that their rifle is the cheapest. The price is stated from 890 baht nett for a 15 rounds.  I have tried the rifle, beretta and this Smith and Wesson 4506 .45 ACP. This 45 is my favorite among all with 50m shooting range and 8+1 capacity. One of the most expensive gun to rent here. Basically you are shooting at the target paper like this. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. To get close and personal with the King of Fruit...the accommodation charges will be Deluxe Villa is charged at RM280/night and standard villa will cost you RM180/night. The first time I had my first black pepper Bak Kut Teh was at Sandakan. I never know there is one at Kuala Lumpur. I got to know it from Axian from his TV Programme, "Taste with Jason". The name of the restaurant is Kedai Makan Sek Me Choy. Even they have a space of three shop lots, their seats are still fully occupied. In the past, they were doing mining business. This is their old mining machine which they still keep it very well. Vegetable Rice @RM2.00 - You should try their vegetable which is very tasty. Kota Kinabalu doesn't have huge hawker center like you will see in Peninsular Malaysia or Kuching but I have to reckon that the best hawker center in Kota Kinabalu is in Kedai Kopi Lotus. Kedai Kopi Lotus themselves do serve their own food which was very terrible and beyond edible state. So do not eat anything from this restaurant. You just pick the stalls beside this restaurant. There are 4 stalls which I will introduce one by one to you but the only stall which will not be introduced is the stall which is selling Guo Tie ( a kind of dumplings) -  not my favorite. The best and the most popular stall of all is this chicken wing stall. Everyone is there lining up for them either taking away or dining there. You may need to wait for 15-20 minutes for it. Driving in Singapore is really a pain especially the traffic congestion, parking hunting and speed cameras alert which is seems like everywhere. As for parking, weekdays parking is like vampire sucking all your money out from your wallet when the clock keeps ticking. Not just parking but their ERP toll is sucking the money out of your Autopass card too. However, I have realized that the best days to travel to Singapore is on weekends and especially on Sunday. ERP toll is free on Sundays. Parking rate are cheaper on Sundays and there are places are free parking too. Not much cars and peoples on the street on Sundays. Sunday is just perfect day at Singapore! Of course, if you plan to eat their buffets, Sunday will be not a suitable day as it will be super expensive. At Kota Kinabalu, you may find Sheng Rou noodle is very common and famous among the local especially this Kedai Kopi Jia Siang which has a lot of customers roaming to their restaurant from day to night. Since they have a crowd like this, I have to make my point for it. Complimentary tofu for each ala-carte order. Tsate normal for me because I prefer a hot tofu. Marble 8 is the sister company of the famous Marini's on 57 which is located at level 57 of the Petronas Twin Tower while Marble 8 is staying low on the ground with a great view of the grand twin tower.  You are required to wear smart casual to dine here and the parking here pretty limited. If you leave your car to the jockey, RM20 will be charged. Yes, it is not a part of their service. Pretty disappointing for a high class restaurant like this. A complimentary starter for us. Nothing amazing about the starter. What is amazed me about is the waiter knows that I do not eat beef just because I ordered their fish.
