New Luyang Restaurant, Kota Kinabalu

Welcome Seafood Restaurant is not the best ever seafood restaurant in Kota Kinabalu. Their closest rival I would say is New Luyang Restaurant. This restaurant does not have a grand outlook like what you seen at Welcome Seafood Restaurant but it is also quite to find an empty table in this restaurant too!

Fresh Coconut @RM10.00. Try to avoid ordering their "old" coconut which you hardly can dig anything out of it.
Cheese Buttered Prawn (300g) @RM18.00
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - I am always a big fan of Cheese Buttered and they done this very well. A slight spicy taste to it which suit just exactly what I want it to be. However, it is always not worth while to order prawns in your seafood feast because it is too expensive for less than 10 tiger prawns. Spent it on other seafood is way better than this.

Kangkung Belacan @RM6.00
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 3/5 - Kangkung must cook with belacan and you will never go wrong. I had never taste a bad kangkung belacan yet and this restaurant does not fail my claim

Golden Aroma Crab (1.1kg) @RM33.00
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 3/5 - The fragrance from the curry powder roam inside the crab meat and transfer it to my mouth while I am chewing them. This is an awesome feeling. This is the restaurant's signature way to cook their crab. It is also the first time to change my usual Cheese Buttered Crab style to this. Not a bad change. Sometimes really have to try something we have not try yet even there is a possibility of disappointment. That is how a food adventurer should be like.

Their prices. I will say it is not really an economical seafood restaurant that you would expect it for but I still find their price consider as reasonable.
Not really much choices for their live seafood after 9.00pm.
Their crab is still available even after 9.00pm as well. It is not like Welcome Seafood Restaurant which finished theirs by 7.00pm.
It is not really a big restaurant like Welcome Seafood Restaurant. If they have the same size, I believe their seafood is finishing as fast as they did. Overall, I find this restaurant is a good seafood restaurant that you shouldn't miss. Their seats are really limited as their space is small. So come early to avoid disappointment.
Total Damage: RM69.00
Ambiance: 2/5
Service: 4/5
Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Recommended?: Yes accept their fresh coconut
