Bumbu Desa @KLCC

All out of the sudden I feel like having an Indonesian Cuisine after my last one was at Ole-Ole Bali with my dearest sister and her mum. This time I am having it at Bumbu Desa which is located inside the highest floor of Suria KLCC.

I am with my sister again for this Indonesian cuisine and together along with us is my girl who is out of action at that moment. She will be back in a while.
Their serving method is slightly different than Ole-Ole Bali. They have ready cook all their dishes and displayed them in a line like a buffet style. BUT...it is not a buffet style. You may walk over to their dish spread to choose whichever food you wish to have and just let the waiter/waitress know about your choices. They will prepare for you as per your serving request. Meanwhile, please enjoy the other dishes they offer below.

Avocado Juice @RM12.90 - One word for it...Yucks! Ole-ole Bali is way better than this.
ES Cendol @RM8.90 - The shaved ice is too big. Like not really shaved at all.
The rice pot is filled accordingly to the number of people you have on a table. So you can distribute evenly among each other. Some people may like to have more rice while some will be trying to keep fit and have lesser rice. This method certainly will be very convenient to distribute around the table as per everyone’s desire. So in the end you won’t see any leftover rice on the plate because they just simply can’t finish it. It is a brilliant idea to create a convenient dining experience and at the same time, there is no wastage. For your information, additional rice will be charged.

Taste: 2/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 2/5 - This is their signature dish but unfortunately, I do not have a single sign of impress towards this dish. The chicken is so hard to eat and swallow. However the sauce is pretty tasty and spicy and that is where the 2 marks is from.

Talapia Mango @RM22.90++

Overall: 3/5 - This fish is very tasty and is just right for at least 3 pax serving. The mango chili sauce is just marry this fish perfectly. However, the price is just too expensive for this size of fish.

Overall: 3/5 - Very unique way of cooking the bean curd but what is more unique is the sauce accompanying with it. So delicious and outclasses other sauces.

Kolak Biji Salak @RM8.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Made from tapioca and pretty uniquely done. I really love it if the gravy is not too sweet.

As usual, the girls will have their self taken photo shooting session like always.
About this restaurant, I feel the food I have chosen is too dry and not much gravy in it except their sauces. Yes, we have to agree that they are really expert in their sauces. They really created each different unique sauces for each dishes. Splendidly done. However, I still prefer Ole-Ole Bali somehow.
