Wild Basil, Solaris Dutamas

I am not very familiar with Damansara and Hartamas area. The worst is Hartamas. By getting there I already spent 30 minutes more than usual time and using 2 unnecessary tolls. When I reached Solaris Dutamas, the parking are plenty which is just RM1.00 per entry but to get to the restaurant is extremely difficult. The place is newly built and they are some part still under construction. So there is no directory available and instruction board are not clear. We took another 15 minutes to locate this restaurant. The offer is from Everyday and the link for the coupon as below:

This is very simple. Salad + Soup + Main course + Dessert + Drink = RM19.90

The 5 Course Set Meal includes:
1. Salad of your choice: Chef’s Salad/Club’s Salad
2. Soup of your choice: Mushroom Soup/Asparagus Soup
3. Main Course of your choice:
- Grilled Chicken with Sausage
- Grilled Sirloin Steak
- Grilled Lamb Chop
- Grilled Butter Fish
- Spaghetti Baked Seafood
- Spaghetti Salmon
- Fettuccine Carbonara
- Seafood Pizza
- Burger Fillet

4. Dessert: Vanilla Ice-cream with Mango Pudding
5. Drink of your choice: Free flow of Ice Lemon Tea/Soft Drink (Coke/Sprite/100 Plus)

So this is the restaurant after a waitress guided us here. We should have do that earlier.

The counter and the bar
The restaurant is very bright where you can see the whole interior design.
Ice Lemon Tea. I hope I do not need to give any comment on a common drink right?
Chef's Salad

Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 2/5
Price: N/A
Overall: 3/5 - Only the prawn and the tomato are edible. Others are not because the bitter taste has spoiled the whole salad.

Mushroom Soup
Outlook: 2/5
Creativity: 2/5
Taste: 1/5
Price: N/A
Overall: 2/5 - Finally this restaurant has "outclass" Rush Hour Gastropub in their mushroom soup. I feel like I am drinking a MSG soup more than a mushroom soup. When you have a so so Ice Lemon Tea, bitter Chef's Salad and salty MSG soup, you will surely have even lower expectation for their upcoming Main Course.

Grilled Lamb Chop
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: N/A
Overall: 3/5 - This is what I called a lamb chop if to compare with Rush Hours Gastropub which I thought I was given a Pork Knuckle

Spaghetti Baked Seafood
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: N/A
Overall: 3/5 - I am not a big fan of a bolognese sauce but this one I have to say I love it. Apart of that, look at the amount of seafood! Wow!!! Clams, prawns, mussels, squids and lala! All are delicious except the lala because it is not well cook and the raw taste is still there. It is the spoiler of this dish or otherwise this will be the most delicious Seafood Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce that I ever had.

Vanilla/Chocolate Ice-Cream with Mango Pudding
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: N/A
Overall: 3/5 - If to compare with the one at Black & White Station and Mai Ramen Cafe, this is what I called an ice cream dessert. You can see they really make the effort of preparing the dessert for you even it is a set meal from a voucher.

The service I have been received by the waiter and waitress are truly warm and friendly. I feel like I am being treasured for being as their customer. Wi-fi is available here with password protected (basilocuisine). I had tried Groupon vouchers, Dealmates vouchers, JackCow vouchers, ILoveDiscounts vouchers and Everyday vouchers. In my opinion, if you would like to get a good food vouchers, go ahead for Everyday vouchers and you will not regret. For example, this offer already shown how worthy is the deal.

Total damage: RM40.80 (2 pax)
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Will I revisit?: Yes, when their lala in the Spaghetti Baked Seafood has improved.

Overall: 3/5 - It is also known as their signature Symphony of Starters, which takes you across the breadth of Indochinese cuisine with Vietnamese shrimp crystal rolls, lemongrass prawns, Cambodian-style deep-fried shrimp cakes and minced chicken on cinnamon sticks. All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.

Magnum Cafe @IOI City Mall, Putrajaya

Outlook: 5/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.
