Best Tiramisu (regional rated)

***This post is specially created to all Tiramisu lovers like me. I will try my best to search for the best Tiramisu by region so this post will be updated from time to time***

 Just a little info about Tiramisu taken from wiki. Tiramisu (from Italian, spelled tiramisù, meaning "pick me up" or "lift me up") is a popular coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of Savoiardi dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks, egg whites, sugar and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. The recipe has been adapted into many varieties of cakes and other desserts.Its origins are often disputed between Italian regions such as Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Piemonte and others, but it is generally accepted that it was created in Veneto.

To find the best Tiramisu, always look for an authentic Italian restaurant like Michelangelo's. Strong rum taste which will definitely make you fall in love with it in the first bite. 

BEST IN SELANGOR - Maria's Restaurant's & Cafe

It is not very visible restaurant to be found easily. However, they are not just famous with their steak but also their Tiramisu too!

BEST IN PENANG - Lighthouse Coffee

Normally only Italian restaurants will serve Tiramisu. However, nowadays even a coffee specialist started to make their very own Tiramisu which is not bad at all!


Please neglect their price tag because it is the most expensive compare to all listed here. However, you just have to admit their Tiramisu is real good after you have tasted it.

BEST IN JOHOR BAHRU - Cestino Bakery & Bistro

This is the one and only Tiramisu I have tasted so far that has their Mascarpone Cheese melting elegantly like this. Cestino Bakery & Bistro has made Johor Bahru proud with their Tiramisu.


What is the closest you can get by having a Tiramisu from an Italian restaurant and opened by a genuine Italian. Not a good news for the Peninsular Malaysia citizen, you have to travel by air to taste the best Tiramisu in Kota Kinabalu.

BEST IN SINGAPORE - The Connoisseur Concerto (the gallery)

Our neighboring country, Singapore has a little chicky idea about Tiramisu which they rather calling it Devil-misu. The devilish effect is made by the small grapes which is soaked with rum. The rum is so strong especially when it exploded in your mouth. You called that "Creative"! It is only available in the certain outlet of the famous The Connoisseur Concerto a.k.a TCC chain restaurant.
