Hokkaido Ramen Santouka @Pavilion

I may have introduced to you one of the best Ramen in my blog which is called Marutama Ramen @Fahrenheit88. Well, this time I will introduce to you another one of the best Ramen which is right opposite Fahrenheit88 which is Pavilion. The restaurant name is located at the Tokyo Street of Pavilion at it is called, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka.

This restaurant is established in 1988 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Santouka founder - Hitoshi Hatanaka wanted to develop a classic Ramen for all to savor to the last, spoonful and topped with a fabulous char-siu pork. In essence, a masterfully assembled Ramen whose superior ingredients and magnificent, robust flavor would truly stand out and long-lasting.

Here we are...one of the best Japanese Ramen.
Actually their menu is very simple and most of them are already displayed here.
This is on a weekday and it is already so crowded!!! So you can imagine what you will see on weekends.
Their kitchen. I wish they able to let me in to capture the photos of their machinery inside. Yes, their noodles are made right from the spot.
Oh...it has been a while for you not seeing her around. Let me introduce you my sister in case you have forgotten her. :p
Miso Char Siu Ramen @RM27.50++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 4/5 - The noodles are so tangy and the Char Siu is so delicious. I am very particular with fat meat but somehow I can ignore this because I have already captivated by the fragrance in every bite of it. As for the soup, it is quite salty if to compare with Shoyu Ramen.  The price is very expensive for a small bowl like this.

Shoyu Ramen @RM22.50++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - Same noodle size and same char siu compare with Miso Char Siu Ramen. Therefore, the taste is about the same. The only difference is just the soup is much tastier and less salty. The price is slightly cheaper.

A place you should not miss! They have a set course Ramen which you can barbecue 3 Char Siu on your table. It is something worth for you to enjoy.
If you wish to ask me which one is better between Marutama Ramen and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, all I will say is different degree and level. So I will basically brief out all their strengths and for you to decide, okay?

Noodle: Santouka and Marutama

Char Siu: Santouka
Soup: Santouka
Price: Marutama
Egg: Marutama

So all I will say if you like to have an egg in your Ramen, choose Marutama. Otherwise, just go ahead for Santouka.
