VCR Cafe, Pudu
This cafe has 2 levels. The space in the lower ground is very small and compact. If you are coming in a large group with 4 pax and more, you are advised to just head upstairs straightaway. |
You need to help yourself for a cup of plain water or sugar for your coffee. |
They have a balcony upstairs if you are a smoker. However, this cafe is practicing non smoking in their premises. So you will not find any ashtray here. |
I think I never introduce my boy to you all before. This is my baby boy, Lucas. My proud son with a thousand of expression on his face. Never get bored with it even a second. |
We had Long Black @RM9.00++, Cappuccino @RM11.00++, Flat White @RM11.00++, Chocolate @RM13.00++ and Latte @RM12.00++. Their drinks are not cheap at all but you are paying for their quality. |

Overall: 2/5 - It comes with either the choice of turkey ham or beef bacon. Others are home made stew beans, chicken chipolata, grilled tomatoes, mushroom friccasse and two eggs which you can choose either sunny side up or scrabble egg. The variety is splendid and definitely will make you skip your lunch. As for the taste, I would say it is what it is and nothing pretty outstanding to highlight about except their mushrooms with the scrumptious buttery fragrance. You would wish for someone to help out with other but you will definitely do not want to share the mushroom to anyone with you on that table.

Overall: 3/5 - Rich tomato sauce with chickpeas, chicken chipolata, spinach greek yoghurt, toasted pistachio with a slice of sourdough toast 63 degree Celsius. The egg you can choose either sunny side up or scramble egg. Quite complicated ingredients in this hot plate but it can be simplified by just "kacang putih" with egg on top of a slice of bread. It is a very creative approach by introducing what the Turkish used to have for their breakfast in Malaysia. It is another filling breakfast.

Overall: 3/5 - It is the combination of home made crunchy granola, sesonal fresh fruits and greek yoghurt oolong peach infused milk. Sometimes it doesn't have to be fancy or complicated to complete your breakfast. I wouldn't mind to have this granola everyday in the morning. I feel so healthy by the look of it. For your information, this is the cheapest breakfast among all.
French Toast @RM19.00++ |

Overall: 4/5 - Fluffy brioche french toast with berries compote and crumbles and not to forget topping the delicious mocha sauce espresso based ice cream (no churn). A common french toast has brilliantly evolved into a whole new experience of french toast to me. I have nothing to be picky about the whole thing. The toast indeed is fluffy and soft which gently sink into your mouth. Mix some chocolate sauce or berries compote to pamper your taste bud. The best part among all is the ice cream which is very delicious. The light coffee taste in it is absolutely marvelous and unforgettable.
