Sweets Tick Beans, Sandakan

Today I will share another quite special and unique dessert which is available in Sandakan only (as far as I know). This dessert is available at Sweets Tick Beans. While the special dessert is called Lai Lou Fa or in direct translation into English is known as "Old Milk Flower". Yeah...it did sound weird but never mind, the most important is the dessert itself.

Not very fancy type of dessert shop is always have a better quality inside. Can you see this one normal 22" shop has been divided into three?
Yes, it turns out to be this small. Actually, they do provide a "mini van stall" service where it goes from door to door.

Overall: 3/5 - Very milky taste and unique jelly which is pretty delicious! Worth to try especially the super hot sun at Sandakan.

I used to whine that Japanese cuisine in Johor Bahru is horrifying and disappointing until I meet Warakuya Japanese Garden at Mount Austin. Chong Siew Lam Restaurant, Serdang

Never know about this place until I watched Ah Xian from the TV Programme which is known as "Taste with Jason". This restaurant is known as Chong Siew Lam Restaurant. No signboard to show this place but this is the only the crowded place in the whole street. Hang Mua Mountain aka Mua Cave, Ninh Binh

At first, I always got confused with Hang Mua Mountain and Mua Cave. My initial plan is to climb the mountain and all the information I got in the internet is to direct me Mua Cave. After few readings, I finally understand that "Hang" means cave in Vietnamese. So Hang Mua Mountain and Mua Cave is the same place. If you are riding a bike to get here, there are many scam trying to stop you earlier for you to park your motorbike at their place with charges. Don't stop. Just go straight until the end and park inside. It is free parking as of today. I am not sure if they will change it later. The entrance fee is 100,000vnd per person. It is quite expensive for just hiking. There is a reason to this. They decorated the entire way from the entrance to the foot of the hill. There are many photoshooting spots where you can enjoy before you start your hiking. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. Perfume Pagoda Boat Tour, Huong Son

The Huong Pagoda is a vast complex of Buddhist temples and shrines built into the limestone Huong Tich mountains. It is the site of a religious festival which draws large numbers of pilgrims from across Vietnam. The center of the Huong Temple lies in Huong Son Commune, Mỹ Đức District, former Hà Tây Province (now Hanoi). The center of this complex is the Perfume Temple, also known as Chua Trong (Inner Temple), located in Huong Tich Cave. The boat tour including the entrance fee is 100,000vnd. There is an optional cost for the cable car which will take you to Huong Tich Cave. The price is 100,000vnd per person per way or 160,000vnd per person round trip. Ham Rong Mountain is located close to the center of Sa Pa Town and its elevation is the lowest point in the South of 1,450m, the highest is 1,850m. Topography with an average slope angle of about 30 degrees. Ham Rong is surrounded by many different types of mountains, evergreen forests with other broadleaf trees. With the height of the top, there have almost no more trees, sporadic bamboo mountain and wind of dust. From the top, you will get to see the whole Sapa town. It is an amazing scenery to be at. What will people think first when we talk about Penang? Penang Hill? Batu Feringghi? Hard Rock Cafe? I doubt any of them come first but their local food! Penang famous with their local foods and that is the reason there are a lot of hawker center at Penang. One of them is at Jalan MacAlister. No name for this hawker center but the local good foods are concentrated here. A lot of hawker stall like this here. There are just too many to choose from. There are so many chalets especially when you are at Long Beach . The competitive prices between these chalets eventually gives us as a traveler the best advantage. Panorama Chalets stands out the most among all for me. Please do not expect their room to be super comfortable and has a very nice bathroom for you. No, this chalet does not score that. RM75/night for a queen size bed, hot shower and free dinner...that's the catching point. At first, I thought their free dinner should be something which is fixed and most likely are selected cheap food. I thought I want to skip this free stuff but in the end I decided to give it a try to reduce my travel expenses.
