Sweets Tick Beans, Sandakan

Today I will share another quite special and unique dessert which is available in Sandakan only (as far as I know). This dessert is available at Sweets Tick Beans. While the special dessert is called Lai Lou Fa or in direct translation into English is known as "Old Milk Flower". Yeah...it did sound weird but never mind, the most important is the dessert itself.

Not very fancy type of dessert shop is always have a better quality inside. Can you see this one normal 22" shop has been divided into three?
Yes, it turns out to be this small. Actually, they do provide a "mini van stall" service where it goes from door to door.

Overall: 3/5 - Very milky taste and unique jelly which is pretty delicious! Worth to try especially the super hot sun at Sandakan.

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! The famous Harrods from Brompton, London which has known as the 2nd largest upmarket department store in England comes to Malaysia to open a small branch in KLCC selling a lot of stuffs directly from England. Harrods founded by Charles Henry Harrod in 1824 from doing several of listed linen wholesale business to groceries and later becomes a retail operation selling machines, perfumes, medicine, fruit and vegetables. They have an extremely strict dress code which they will turned away patrons whom they feel they are not properly well dressed. They also did turn away soldier in uniform, scout troup, a woman with a mohawk hairstyle and even a 95kg woman. Luckily, it is not as strict as in the one at Malaysia. Sitigun Cafe is located at the junction between Jalan Nagor and Jalan Bawasah. Finding a parking here is a pain. Well, they do served great coffee so it is worth it. All out of the sudden I feel like having an Indonesian Cuisine after my last one was at Ole-Ole Bali with my dearest sister and her mum. This time I am having it at Bumbu Desa which is located inside the highest floor of Suria KLCC. I am with my sister again for this Indonesian cuisine and together along with us is my girl who is out of action at that moment. She will be back in a while. Their serving method is slightly different than Ole-Ole Bali . They have ready cook all their dishes and displayed them in a line like a buffet style. BUT...it is not a buffet style. Paintball which is also can be known as "Pain Ball" for me, which is one of the best teamwork activities that will requires strategy, stamina and speed. AOV is established since 2009. It was started by a group of passionate sport lover to promote outdoor sport and paintball is the first recreational sport activity chosen. Erhai Lake is the largest highland lake next to Dianchi and one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China. It means, 'sea shaped like an ear', in Chinese. Implying that the lake is ear shaped and as large as a sea, hence it was so named. The Erhai Lake covers an area of 250 square kilometers (96 square miles) and is located about two kilometers (1.2 miles) east of Dali. It is like a crescent lying between Cangshan and Dali city as seen from Cangshan Mountain. In a sunny day, the crystal waters of Erhai Lake and the snow mantled Cangshan Mount radiate with each other. Thus the scene was commonly described as 'Silver Cangshan and Jade Erhai'. Driving in Singapore is really a pain especially the traffic congestion, parking hunting and speed cameras alert which is seems like everywhere. As for parking, weekdays parking is like vampire sucking all your money out from your wallet when the clock keeps ticking. Not just parking but their ERP toll is sucking the money out of your Autopass card too. However, I have realized that the best days to travel to Singapore is on weekends and especially on Sunday. ERP toll is free on Sundays. Parking rate are cheaper on Sundays and there are places are free parking too. Not much cars and peoples on the street on Sundays. Sunday is just perfect day at Singapore! Of course, if you plan to eat their buffets, Sunday will be not a suitable day as it will be super expensive. After Waterfall Abseiling adventure, now is Water Tubing Time! Wee~~~ It cost you only RM50.00/pax only which includes tea break. At first you will be taken to their lodging location . This place will be where you geared up and change your clothes later on. Oh yes, you will definitely wet from top to bottom. You can choose a single tube or a double tube if you are coming here with more than one person. This is the Sungai Geroh, fresh water from Cameron Highlands. Our starting point is at Riverbug Asia lodging area which will take at least 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete about 6 km riding with the tube. Basically you just sit on the tube and control it with your pedal to avoid 360 degrees turning. If you are expert, you can row with your hands like my instructor did.
