Restoran Seng Hing, Kota Kinabalu
They are not just selling tomyam and laksa. They have other fried stuffs and bak kut teh too. However, they are only good at tomyam and laksa so do not bother to try anything else. |
Laksa @RM8.50 |
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - I thought the one at Kedai Kopi Yee Fung has the most coconut milk in a laksa. But this one is even more. It is not a bad thing. The coconut milk it is the more fragrance is the laksa and less spicy too. I really like the taste of this laksa which is only able to get to taste in Kota Kinabalu. Pretty unique.
Tomyam Noodle @RM10.00 |
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - This tomyam is so red which makes everyone think that it should be extremely spicy but exactly the opposite. Not too spicy at all. The spiciness is still there to kickoff the taste but in the end the sourish taste which is the appetizing part. You just can't stop digging for more. Another worth to highlight about is their fresh prawn is bigger size than the usual we see in other restaurant and the best part is their prawns are so tangy and tender. They are quite generous with the prawns after all you are paying RM10.00 for a bowl which makes the price somehow reasonable.
There are a lot of restaurants selling their tomyam and laksa which are pretty good too but Restoran Seng Hing serves a pretty competitive laksa and tomyam which is worth to make a visit for them. |
Ambiance: 2/5
Service: 2/5
Food Serving Speed: Laksa is slow but Tomyam is very fast. Not sure why.
