Kopitiam Otak Otak Formosa, Melaka

Seeking for a great place for a breakfast is never an easy task even when you are in Melaka. However, my uncle who lives in Melaka for 20 years seduced me by telling me that he is going to bring me to best roti canai in Melaka. As a food enthusiast me is not immune with such a temptation. So I took the bait and woke up early on the next day.

This is the place. He said only the local will know this place is good. Tourist will not know.
My uncle said previously they were just a small hawker stall. Now they have a shop!

Overall: 3/5 - I love the butter taste in a Roti Canai. Please remember to tell the waiter/waitress not to put any sugar on it. It will spoil the taste.

Overall: 3/5 - Very interesting combination to have cheese in the Roti Canai. It is already very delicious either with or without cheese in a Roti Pisang.


Overall, this restaurant's roti canai is quite good and soft. However, it is not that very delicious until I will revisit them again. One thing not very good about this restaurant is they only provide Dal Curry. Their coffee are so bad which almost applies to all coffee shop in Melaka. Parking is ample just need some leg work only.

Pulau Tenggol, Dungun

Pulau Tenggol has been promoted quite aggressively by our Malaysian Tourism since 4 years ago. The result is quite successful to attract our local citizen to make their visit on this beautiful island. Pulau Tenggol is located off Dungun Jetty. The nearest airport is Kerteh Airport which at this moment only Malindo Air will fly to this airport. From Kerteh to Dungun is only need less than 30 minutes. As for other local aviation companies will only land at Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Terengganu which needs at least an hour to reach Dungun. You may need to take a 45 minutes boat ride to Pulau Tenggol. You are advice to book in advance with the resort that you are going to stay on this island first before you visit. The reason is there is no public boat or ferry to take you to this island. All the boats at the jetty are resorts' respective private boats. The best attraction in Guangzhou is the Chimelong Changlong. It is a very big place like Resort World Sentosa (RWS) at Singapore. Same like RWS with a hotel called Chimelong Hotel and an amusement park called Chimelong Paradise. The difference are they have more than the two similarity which are they have a circus called The Chimelong International Circus, The Chimelong Water Park and the one I am going to introduce to you today, Xiang Jiang Safari Park or which is more known as Chimelong Safari Park. Same like Guangzhou Zoo , they have a north and south gate. You are advised to go to their South Gate. One thing is different is they do not have a long queue like the Guangzhou Zoo because they allowed online booking and payment. Tasik Biru Kangkar Pulai, Johor Bahru

At Johor Bahru, there is a majestic blue lake which is known as Tasik Biru Kangkar Pulai. It is a hidden gem within Masai, Johor Bahru.  The reason it is blue is because of the iron ore quarry nearby. The blue color is from the mineral called copper sulphate but I am not sure if that's the real reason for it because whenever there is a blue lake like this, there will be a iron ore quarry beside of it. Another good example is Tasik Biru Bukit Ibam Muadzam Shah, Pahang. Bah Ku Teh Teow Chew, Taman Melaka Raya

Bak Kut Teh is originated by people from Hokkien. However, it has been improvised by other ethnic such as Teochew. At Melaka, I had the opportunity to taste a Bak Kut Teh in Teochew style. Basically, they will just ask how many person you want to make and any parts that you do not want.  What is so different about their bak kut teh with the others is the soup. Their soup has a light black pepper taste and herbal taste as well.  This is the master chef and what I do not really like this restaurant is the master chef is keep screaming all the time. I wonder how he can have this kind of energy to scream for all day long. However, I felt very annoyed when every time he screams. Actually I do not like anyone screams...it spoils my appetite. Have you seen a food court which is as huge as this? They really have 101 stalls in there and that's why it is called Premier 101 Food Court. In Kuching, there are other 2 food courts running a similar style like this. Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh, Kota Kinabalu

There are two best bak kut teh in Kota Kinabalu that I have known so far. One is known as Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh  and the other one is known as Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh. There are just located one street away from each other. However, both of them got the same jam packed customers as you can see from the picture above. You just cannot detect any available seat around. This is how good they are. The one and only chef in action to prepare the whole bak kut teh to all the patrons. The surprising part is the serving speed was extremely fast. Usually when you see so many people, you might think you will need to wait for quite some time but he can make sure you will get your food at the fastest speed. These are the prices after GST is imposed.  They do have other dishes to serve too apart of their famous Bak Kut Teh. Wind Cave a.k.a Gua Angin, Bau

We love nature explorations but jungle trekking and mountain climbing are just too extensive activities especially to my little princess sister. She does not have the sporty physical to support her in such activities. So we decided to a non extensive nature exploration which is a cave exploration. There are 2 nearest caves to Kuching and so we headed to the first one which is called Wind Cave a.k.a Gua Angin which is located at Bau. Another cave is called Fairy Cave a.k.a Gua Pari-Pari . It is a 90 minutes drive from the Kuching City and she was nicely slept all the way leaving me alone driving and trying hard to look for the cave location. This supposed to be their main entrance but recently these place is sealed because of a landslide. Even though the entrance is sealed, we saw a nearby river stream which is so beautiful enough to capture our attention. Clean and clear water which is a good place for swimming and bathing. Penang is famous with their hawker centers. Too many hawker centers around from the one I hate most which is at Gurney Drive (too commercialized) to the one I visited the most, Northam Beach Cafe. Located right opposite of Northam Hotel. This hawker center is located by the sea so you will be enjoying the sound of sea wave plus soothing sea wind with your delicious food. Look at the crowd and you will understand that this is the best! It is not obvious from the main road because you need to turn in to one narrow road to find a parking which is free and walk further in to find this hawker center. Not revealing to the public at all but still can get this kind of crowd. So you will know how genuine these crowds are. Just a quick introduction about Tong Pak Fu. I had seen them everywhere but I do not get a chance to try until I am here at East Coast Mall, Kuantan. Durian Ice @RM14.80++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 1/5 Overall: 3/5 - All their ice series are their signature. So I decided to try their new durian flavor. The ice is very smooth and the durian taste is definitely genuinely strong! I give a benefit of a doubt for this dessert to cost that much for just ice and few non expensive ingredients with it.
