Kikyo Japanese Restaurant, Bandar Puteri Puchong

Since Elayne jie treated me a nice ala-carte Japanese buffet restaurant at Umai-Ya on my birthday. This time is my turn to return her kindness by bringing her to another ala-carte Japanese buffet on her birthday which is called Kikyo Japanese Restaurant. They only serve buffet dinner on weekdays and buffet lunch on weekends and public holidays. This is a real good news since most of the ala-carte Japanese buffet only served on weekends. Of course, another exclusion is the Munakata Japanese Restaurant which is expensive and their menu is not that great at all.

Kikyo Japanese Restaurant has already opened quite a few years and they started with their ala-carte buffet for only RM29.90++ per person. Now, they just increased in the month of November to RM39.90++. Even though they have increase as much as RM10 per pax, their buffet price is still one of the cheapest.

They provide refillable Green Tea and Coke too! However, drinking a carbonated drink for a buffet is never a good idea.
As you can see not many people dare to order a lot of food on their table because this restaurant is extremely strict. When they stated they will charged your leftover food, they really mean it! A waitress gave me a friendly reminder of their T&C way before I start ordering. Wow! Scary~
Love at first bite? Let's see...
Ordered a Daru Sake @RM22.40++ after 30% discount. They are running a promotion for their sake. However, it is still the same mistake for their hot sake. Same like Fukuya Japanese Restaurant. Nothing is there to keep them warm. The sake reduce to room temperature level within minutes.
Edamame - 4/5. I have eaten four bowls of this.
Salmon Sashimi & White Tuna - 4/5. Not thick but fresh. I have eaten three plates of this.
Salmon Sushi, Shiro Maguro Sushi, Inari Sushi, Ebi Sushi - 3/5
Tofu Steak - 4/5...so BIG portion!
Takoyaki - 3/5
Salmon Teriyaki - 3/5
Hotate Butteryaki - 4/5
Mussel Butteryaki - 2/5
Age Ika Wakame Su - 3/5
Salmon Temaki - 2/5
Yakitori - 3/5
Chicken Teriyaki - 3/5
They got 6 flavors of ice cream to choose from. Green Tea, Black Sesame, Wasabi, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla. All are quality ice creams.
Kikyo Japanese Restaurant. This is the entrance for you to recognize them.
Let's have a duet shot with my Elayne jie. Hopefully she is happy with the Japanese buffet that I introduce to her.
Overall for my verdict is slightly cheaper than Umai-ya but Umai-ya still the best ala-carte based Japanese buffet in my opinion. However, I have far more ala-carte restaurant that I have not been yet. Still to come...and hope you all will stayed tuned!
