Forbidden Kitchen @Ampang

I really cannot remember when is the last time I had my middle eastern food. Luckily this time, Everyday has brought me to Forbidden Kitchen, Ampang with an offer I couldn't resist. It is very easy to find as it is just right opposite of Ampang Point across the main road of Jalan Ampang. The link as below:

With this RM30 voucher, you can choose any drinks and meals in their menu inclusive taxes.

Real orchid which I can't resist not to take a picture of it.
This is the indoor area. They have 2 outdoor areas which are at the entrance and by the pool.
This place is very neat and tidy. That is my first impression when I am in this restaurant.
Teh Tarik Ice @RM3.90 ++
Watermelon Juice @RM6.90++
Kebab Lamb with Rice @RM22.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - The lamb is well cooked. I love it! The rice is so unique as each rice is much longer than the one I usually eat. Very fragrance and tasty. But the portion of the rice is just too big for my stomach to fill in.

Tortilla Wraps with Lamb @RM16.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - A little different of cooking the lamb like the previous dish. Quite delicious! My girl only able to finish one Tortilla Wrap only. Their portion indeed is big.

This is the place. The signboard not really obvious as you can see the sign of discoloration.
There is wi-fi available with password protected and Shisha is available as well. I like the concept of dining by the pool. If you have big group of people for some celebrations, do think of this restaurant. Their foods and drinks are very reasonable price. The best of all is their warm service with smiles. I love to dine in a restaurant with a good service. All the sudden the foods will be extra delicious. LOL. Nothing is perfect so does this restaurant too! One thing not good about this place is too many mosquitoes. Even inside the restaurant you will need to serve some of your blood to them. They need to start to think about the countermeasure for this issue.

Total Damage: RM60 (2 pax)
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Will I revisit?: Sure! With long pants and long sleeves.

  1. It's the worst and most terrible meal i had ever had at KL. The service and food are sucks!!! They spent so much money for the renovation and yet they don't even care to provide quality food. WTH is the Sunday BBQ, it's not even worth RM10! No drinks, no seafood and yes, they serve card board burger meat. And please bring cash along, they don't even accept credit card!!!

  2. I already know their quality of their BBQ buffet. That is why I rather order an ala-carte meal. Well, it is quite hard to get a quality food through a buffet when it is that cheap.
