English Tea House & Restaurant, Sandakan

I still can remember that last year's tomorrow I was in Sandakan celebrating her birthday. Her mom brought me to this wonderful place in Sandakan. It is called English Tea House & Restaurant. This place is really big and I do feel the owner did put the whole effort to bring the original English tea house from Europe to Malaysia for us.

They placed a lot of antique stuffs around the restaurant.
Croquet - A very famous game in England in the 17th century. Only nobles and high class people are allowed to play this game at that time.
White Wine - no tea that day because since is a special day, a wine is better fit for celebration

Chose a slice of Tiramisu and request a waitress to prepare and serve to my table. The waitress brought it over and sing song for her too! Great service! But I prefer if they include at least on candle. 
Great moments and memories always make us hard to leave this place...we will be back again for sure.
This place does not have a wi-fi equipped and the parking is very limited. But those are not really the big issues. What I do hope is the weather can be as cooling as in Cameron Highland or at least like Bukit Tinggi. As you can see my pictures above, you can see the sun is shining so bright. The heat has spoiled this great place. Anyway, I really highly recommended to anyone who visits Sandakan to drop by at this marvelous place. Sandakan is their main branch and they had another branch at Kota Kinabalu. Hmm...I should be start thinking what should I do tomorrow.

This is my first time dining at Sentul and glad to know this great Chinese restaurant which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Lau Heong. This is the crowd at 6.00pm on Sunday. Crazy right? Let you see from another angle. They just own one shop lot but seems like owning an extra 4 parking space but still they are people standing and waiting for their seat including me! Usually you will see a long queue in front of this famous chicken rice ball, Kedai Kopi Chung Wah. I am consider lucky for being there early on weekdays where not many people or tourist creating the queue. There are two famous chicken rice ball restaurant in Melaka. This restaurant is famous for their rice ball. This is how small the restaurant is so that is why easily queue is being made. They only selling Hainan chicken which means is a steamed chicken. Do not expect any roasted chicken here. RM0.30/pc. It serves in a plate of five rice ball like this. The rice ball is indeed very fragrance. Chong Siew Lam Restaurant, Serdang

Never know about this place until I watched Ah Xian from the TV Programme which is known as "Taste with Jason". This restaurant is known as Chong Siew Lam Restaurant. No signboard to show this place but this is the only the crowded place in the whole street. They only serve for lunch so do expect great crowd roaming to this place between 12.00pm to 2.00pm.  Steamed Tilapia Fish Head @RM20.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Tilapia is a freshwater fish and the best is to steam it. Once again being a free tour guide for a group of people from Yunnan, China to Penang for some nice local delicacies. However, they were complaining about our food is not spicy enough. So since they would like spicy food, the only place I can think of in Penang is The Little Nyonya Cuisine which located at the lower ground of Gurney Plaza.  Tomyam Seafood @RM18.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Spiciness Level: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - The seafood contains fish, squid and prawns only which is not bad at all. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. Long Beach, Pulau Perhentian Kecil

After staying so many days at the calm and relaxing Pulau Perhentian Besar , I am started to feel kind of bored. I wanted to feel the nightlife on an island so I was advised to head to the Pulau Perhentian Kecil. There are two beaches here which are Long Beach and Coral Bay. Right now I am heading to Long Beach by a water taxi which cost me RM25/pax. The first impression I had when put my first step on this beach my feeling is WOW! Truly different concept! This beach is so much happening. You can rent this big umbrella for your sunbathing. This is something you don't see at Pulau Perhentian Besar definitely! Now, you need to understand where you are.  Lots of cafe and restaurants here for you to pick! You will be spoiled with the choices you have here. There are snorkeling gear for you to rent at RM5 - RM10 depending to the season. But the problem is too many boats along this beach, it is very dangerous for you to snorkel here. As I mentioned before in my Simple Life Tracy's Kitchen post , vegetarian cuisine has becoming a trend these days and a lot of restaurant coming out with a lot of ideas to make sure you know the food they served are authentic. At Veggie Planet, they are displaying everywhere in their restaurant to tell you that they guarantee you that the food they served does not contain any artificial coloring & preservative and does not contain any poison starch product. Are you convinced? I am. I can see how the owner spent in this restaurant by showing how "organic" they are. Selling other products and free health magazine for you to read. Too bad it is in Chinese. Having two shop lots combined which has made this restaurant big and with a lot of ample spaces. I like the privacy feel. Welcoming us with a nice tiny cup of refreshing Darjeeling tea. Nice!
