Bungee Jump @Sunway Lagoon

Bungee jump...anyone? Haha...when people hear the word "bungee jump", usually you will get an immediate response "NO WAY". Seriously, if you are a person who likes to play roller coaster or the solero shot @Genting, this bungee jump is absolutely nothing because the panic moment is just lasted for 3-5 seconds on the jumping board. Once you jumped, you already have nothing to fear because you already find yourself above the water in a moment. So the "excitement" is way way faster than a roller coaster or the solero shot. 

There were once we have 2 bungee jump spots in Malaysia. One at KL Tower and another one at Sunway Lagoon which is organized by AJ Hackett Company. Around year 2009, AJ Hackett has pulled out from KL Tower spot due to certain issue. So our country now left one and only one jumping spot. I have been to KL Tower jumping spot before and I do feel the KL Tower will be more "exciting" than the one at Sunway Lagoon. However, I was not brave enough at that moment and now I am extremely regret about it.

Well, we have to move on. So do appreciate what we have left now at Sunway Lagoon. The price for the jump is RM75 (with myKad) and RM150 (w/o myKad). There is a hike on the price where the price before was RM50 (with myKad) and RM100 (w/o myKad). You still need to pay the entrance fee to enter the Sunway Lagoon at RM60 (adult) and RM45 (child - age 11 and below). Here are the steps you need to follow before the jump:

1) Fill up and sign a "Life & Death Agreement". 

2) Weight yourself and your weight will be written on your hand with a permanent marker.

3) Walk all the way to the bridge and wait for your turn

4) Surrender all your belongings and they will not be responsible if any of your things drop into the lake.

5) They will wrap your leg nicely like a Popiah. You can request them either wet yourself at head level or half body. Of course, you also can opt out from getting wet but what is the fun, right?

6) Tip top to the jumping board and listen to a countdown instruction

7) Don't look down and jump...close your eyes if you want or scream as loud as you can.

8) Hang in there until you are being picked up.

I roughly can remember where is all my certificates because I have jumped for a numerous time here at Sunway Lagoon. No matter how many times I have jumped, the little fear is still exist especially on the jumping board. Well, only for few seconds but the longer you delay the jump the longer the fear is. So why wait and torture yourself? Just jump! You may think RM75 for a bungee jump is expensive but I have jumped at Hong Kong before for at the price of HKD 2,000. The reason of the price is the height. The jump last for 10 seconds before reaching the water instead of 5 seconds at Sunway Lagoon. I have never tried the highest bungee jump at New Zealand. I bet it will be way way more expensive. So you think about it whether is RM75 that expensive?
