Kiku Zakura Japanese Restaurant @MidValley

Anyone used to work in MidValley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) for any event? Where do you dine usually? Food Junction? McDonalds? Argghhh...I am sicked with this two places. So today I decided to dine in Kiku Zakura which is located in the same level.

How come got "See No Evil", "Hear No Evil" and "Speak No Evil" cats in a Japanese Restaurant?
This is the nicest green tea cup I ever see.

Overall: 4/5 - With just one hour break, I have no choice but to choose their lunch set which is pretty reasonable price. The Udon is pretty awesome to fill in my hungry afternoon after a long event hours.


I pretty like Kiku Zakura's restraurant design because is the only restaurant brings me the authentic Japanese Restaurant feel. The next time I visit this restaurant, I will make sure that I have the ample time to dine properly and taste my favorite Sashimi.

By the appearance of it, Restoran Yu Hing definitely doesn't look appealing enough to become a tourist spot for you as your dining choice. However, I am still going to introduce to you their noodle. They do serve other variety of food but something worth to be here is only their noodle which is known as Beaufort Fried Noodle. Beaufort is a name of a town in Sabah. This is their very own local delicacies which you won't find it easily at any part of Malaysia or even Sabah. You have to be either in Kota Kinabalu or Beaufort to experience it. This is my first time dining at Sentul and glad to know this great Chinese restaurant which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Lau Heong. This is the crowd at 6.00pm on Sunday. Crazy right? Let you see from another angle. They just own one shop lot but seems like owning an extra 4 parking space but still they are people standing and waiting for their seat including me! I used to whine that Japanese cuisine in Johor Bahru is horrifying and disappointing until I meet Warakuya Japanese Garden at Mount Austin. From the exterior itself, this restaurant looks so grand and luxury. The first thing comes to my mind is the price will be hefty. However, when I saw the queue in front of the restaurant, I already doubt their price is going to be really expensive. I know people just loves good food but at the minimum price. Who doesn't anyway? One of the best part of the restaurant is they are providing 42" LCD TV, free flow of drinks and seating area for the queue. Never know about this place until I watched Ah Xian from the TV Programme which is known as "Taste with Jason". This restaurant is known as Chong Siew Lam Restaurant. No signboard to show this place but this is the only the crowded place in the whole street. They only serve for lunch so do expect great crowd roaming to this place between 12.00pm to 2.00pm.  Steamed Tilapia Fish Head @RM20.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Tilapia is a freshwater fish and the best is to steam it. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! That day my dream comes true when I finally able to have my tea time at TWG Tea with my two beloved ladies in my life. Yay! I always meet my Elayne jie whenever I am at KL. Sometimes I feel I am going to make her very bored already but I just love to find her even we do not have to talk a lot. Back to the topic, this is the menu of what you will see from the entrance. This round I would like to introduce the dim sum at China. I went to a hotel restaurant which is known to serve good dim sum. The name of the restaurant is called æ¸…远国际酒店点心. Tea set is a must order drinks either you like to drink tea or not. Even you insist that you do not wish to drink anything or wanted to drink something else, a high class restaurant like this will still charge you the tea charges in per head charges. It has been a long time for not adding a good addition to my Johor Bahru section. Restoran Makanan Hakka is the place I would like to recommend to you all especially the Hakka ethnic. This place is crowded with people even it is after lunch hour.
