Kiku Zakura Japanese Restaurant @MidValley

Anyone used to work in MidValley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) for any event? Where do you dine usually? Food Junction? McDonalds? Argghhh...I am sicked with this two places. So today I decided to dine in Kiku Zakura which is located in the same level.

How come got "See No Evil", "Hear No Evil" and "Speak No Evil" cats in a Japanese Restaurant?
This is the nicest green tea cup I ever see.

Overall: 4/5 - With just one hour break, I have no choice but to choose their lunch set which is pretty reasonable price. The Udon is pretty awesome to fill in my hungry afternoon after a long event hours.


I pretty like Kiku Zakura's restraurant design because is the only restaurant brings me the authentic Japanese Restaurant feel. The next time I visit this restaurant, I will make sure that I have the ample time to dine properly and taste my favorite Sashimi.

Most of people think if you travel to Hatyai and not visiting their temples, you are just wasting your time at Hatyai. As for my personal opinion, if you come to Hatyai and did not go to Sports Shooting Club (SSC) Hatyai to experience the shooting experience with a real gun, I think you are not just wasting your time at Hatyai but you are wasting your time being a human. You only live once and there is no better way to understand these guns than coming over to SSC.   Their gun selections are enough to satisfy your urge. From rifle, pistols, revolvers to shotguns. You would be surprised that their rifle is the cheapest. The price is stated from 890 baht nett for a 15 rounds.  I have tried the rifle, beretta and this Smith and Wesson 4506 .45 ACP. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. Let's check it out who is in the house?! Yup, Mars Liew with my same surname but different countries. She is from the local Brunei whom I supposed to meet her last year. This time, she made it to meet up with me even though is just 1 hour. I am happy enough! Hee! She would love to have Japanese Cuisine at that moment and so do I! After so many years and finally I am able to celebrate my god sister, Elayne jie's birthday on the day itself instead of days advanced or belated days. So we decided to dine to a place where she always had her meals with her family which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Yoke Heng. This restaurant has two-shop lot which is divided by air-conditioned and non air conditioned. The outlook appearance of the restaurant doesn't look appealing to me but this restaurant is so famous among all the well-known Chinese and Hong Kong artiste. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. To get close and personal with the King of Fruit...the accommodation charges will be Deluxe Villa is charged at RM280/night and standard villa will cost you RM180/night. They only have 1 Deluxe Villa and 2 Standard Villa only. So it is very easy to be fully booked during the durian season. Cozy in the Rocket is definitely a not easy to find cafe. Look at their signboard. It is too small for you to even notice them. You will be easily miss this unattractive row of shops with small signboard. Actually it can be very easy. The famous wall painting of the "Little Children on the Bicycle" is actually painted on this cafe. Now, isn't it easy? The moment I stepped inside this cafe, I felt so many nostalgic things decorated around the cafe. This is their kitchen and it is remained how it was look like in the 50s and 60s era. Even their restrooms are well decorated with the nature as their theme. I initially wanted to ask if the kitchen is still open because the board hanging on their entrance is written their business hours is from 11.00am - 4.00pm while I was there 15 minutes before 4.00pm. This is the first time I am dining at Dome Cafe and also the first time I am dining in a hospital restaurant. Wow...what a weird experience. Sorry if you do not like my picture...I am just trying off my Lomo Cam. Once again being a free tour guide for a group of people from Yunnan, China to Penang for some nice local delicacies. However, they were complaining about our food is not spicy enough.
