Uroko Japanese Cuisine, Section 17

After my disappointing experience at Torii, I have to hunt for a better restaurant to maintain Japanese cuisine as my most favourite cuisine. So I come across with Uroko Japanese Cuisine which located above Soleil restaurant at Section 17, Petaling Jaya.
There is lift provided to get you to their floor. The design inside the restaurant is simple and not too spacious. However, the lighting is dim which somehow to give you a sense of privacy.

Uroko does provide Omakase which starts from RM150++/pax and the most expensive is just only RM350++/pax. It is quite affordable in my opinion.

Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - Started of my meal with a pleasant tuna soup. It does not have anything fascinating inside to justify the price but it is still a delicious soup.

Eringi Butter Yaki @RM14.00++
Outlook: 2/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - It doesn't look appealing but the taste has proof that it is worth it. Delicious buttery taste is what I have expected it to be. It is my son's favourite. He ate the whole plate. I was only able to get a few pieces.

Gindara Futami @RM48.00++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - This is the restaurant's special cod fish recipe which I do not see other restaurant serving this yet. It is absolutely delicious and beat the usual Gindara Teriyaki which I always order. The crust is so crispy and still able to maintain the soft and tender cod fish meat. It is absolutely amazing.

Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - The cuttlefish is fresh enough to give you the delightful tangy feeling and the best part is of course the grilling taste on it. You will experience the whole grilling taste roaming all over your mouth while chewing it.

Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - It is chicken with leek. Uroko is famous with their yakitori and we just managed to try one of their yakitori which is good enough to convince us that their yakitori is one of the best I had so far.

Inaniwa Udon @RM26.00++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - This is by far the best ever Inaniwa Udon (cold) I have tried so far. The noodle doesn't stick with each other and it is so fine and smooth yet still able to absorb the soba sauce into your mouth. The savory taste of the soba sauce is giving you the appetite which you can finish the whole noodle all by yourself.

Garlic Chahan @RM6.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Their garlic fried rice is average. I am expecting a little more "wok hei". It refers to the flavor and tastes imparted by a hot wok during stir frying.

This is the 9-course omakase which cost only RM150++/pax. The ingredients served are all fresh without a doubt. You will be served with lobster yakitori, scallop, cod fish with sea urchin, unagi sushi, soft shell crab and premium sashimi. It is absolutely worth it with such a price to get such food. Highly recommended!
There is no question about this restaurant. It is suitable for all ages. We all really satisfy with their food, environment and service. However, I do expect more on the sequence they serve the food especially on ala-carte meal (not omakase). How can you serve the soup in the end? I am expecting them to know to start from appetizer or soup/salad first before the main course.

Total Damage: RM371.95

Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Will I Revisit?: Yes
