Caving Experience at Gua Batu Maloi, Johol

My caving adventure for this year happened at Gua Batu Maloi which is located at a small town called Johol, Negeri Sembilan. From north south highway, you need to exit Tampin, and drive another 30 minutes towards Johol. The road to Johol is a little curvy, so extra precaution is required.
This is the meet up location of the Gua Batu Maloi. This location is equipped with bathroom for shower. Unfortunately, the shower place is not properly maintained. It is important as this is also the site for camping. The camping rate is at RM10/tent. If you would like to rent a tent is RM25/tent and while stock last.
This the entrance of Gua Batu Maloi. I know you would be asking me where is the cave. Actually Gua Batu Maloi is formed by falling rocks which has created a big hallow cave alike. The falling rocks fell on the river.
So in other words, be prepared to soak yourself in this trip. About 80% of the route your legs is in the water. The water is chilling cold and it can get stronger during raining season.
We took the extreme route where we need to dive under the water to get through obstacles. The dive is about 3-4 seconds but we can't see a single thing under the water. It is all murky.
You have to bring your own headlight or else there will be extra charges. Our tour is RM45/pax which included helmet and two guides. We had two female guides with us on that trip. It was an honor.
The journey took about 2 hours 30 minutes for us to finish. If you would like to bring kids with you to this trip, they will use an easier route which will ended within 2 hours. The minimum age to join is 9 years old.
The girls were so scared as they thought they are going to die because the obstacles are too extreme for them especially the diving part. Diving in a cave without equipment is really hardcore. However, there are no accident happened to us so it is all just fine.
Our contact person for this trip was Shiha. She was a great guide and I highly recommend her to guide you if you had planned for this trip. She is not just has a good knowledge in guiding us but she also will talk about some history lesson about this cave to us to give us some knowledge instead of just fun in this cave.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our trip and I highly recommended this place to you all to experience. Actually I had a lot of pictures and video clips to share about this trip but unfortunately my SD card had an error. I failed to recover it even I had sent it to the professional. Bad luck for me. Luckily the rest of the journey is documented by my Samsung Galaxy S9+. A great time to test its underwater capability which doesn't let me down at all. Below is the only video that I captured using the phone. Enjoy!
