Koko-en Garden, Himeji, Hyogo

Kokoen (好古園, Kōkoen) is a relatively recently constructed Japanese style garden, which was opened in 1992 on the former site of of the feudal lord's west residence (Nishi-Oyashiki). It consists of nine separate, walled gardens designed in various styles of the Edo Period. 
The ticket price is 300 yen but if you are purchasing a bundle ticket together with the Himeji Castle, it will cost 1040 yen only. It is just 5 minutes walk between them.
You will only need to spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour in here. 
Flowers lover will probably like this garden as there are many kind of flowers in this garden.
There is a Japanese restaurant inside Koko-en where you have a pond and a beautiful garden view beside you while dining. The restaurant name is Kassui-ken Restaurant which is opens from 10.00am - 4.30pm.
Using the gardening techniques in the Edo period (1600-1860) as a good model, "Koko-en" creates historical atmosphere with magnificent view of Himeji Castle.
This garden has becomes a playground for my son. He just loves to see the flowers around the garden. 
He enjoyed watching fishes swimming around and he really can stay there and looking at them as long as he can. Not kidding.
His favourite animal is definitely a cat. We saw a cat at the garden and wondering if the cat is part of the garden or it is just a wild cat.
Anyhow, Lucas loves his new friend very much. He doesn't want to share his new friend with other visitors until I told him not to do so.
There is a tea ceremony where you can join at Souju-an. There is a small fee of 500 yen/pax and it comes with a Japanese sweets. The business hours is from 10.00am - 4.00pm
Overall, I find that this garden is really beautiful but it does not give me enough reason to recommend you to purposely visit it. However, if you are going to Himeji Castle, then I would recommend you to drop by to this garden too for just additional 40 yen/pax only. It is just going to take a maximum of 1 hour of your time anyway.

Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! This is my first time dining at Sentul and glad to know this great Chinese restaurant which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Lau Heong. This is the crowd at 6.00pm on Sunday. Crazy right? Let you see from another angle. They just own one shop lot but seems like owning an extra 4 parking space but still they are people standing and waiting for their seat including me! Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. In my experience so far, the best seafood restaurant at Bukit Tambun is Restoran How Kee Seafood Village . Surprisingly, it is not listed in "Taste with Jason" tv programme. He preferred Cia Xiang Seafood Restaurant somehow. So here I am to find out! Unlike  Restoran How Kee Seafood Village , Cia Xiang Seafood Restaurant is very close to Bukit Tambun Tol Exit. Once again being a free tour guide for a group of people from Yunnan, China to Penang for some nice local delicacies. However, they were complaining about our food is not spicy enough. As I mentioned before in my Simple Life Tracy's Kitchen post , vegetarian cuisine has becoming a trend these days and a lot of restaurant coming out with a lot of ideas to make sure you know the food they served are authentic. At Veggie Planet, they are displaying everywhere in their restaurant to tell you that they guarantee you that the food they served does not contain any artificial coloring & preservative and does not contain any poison starch product. Are you convinced? I am. I can see how the owner spent in this restaurant by showing how "organic" they are. Selling other products and free health magazine for you to read. Too bad it is in Chinese. Never know about this place until I watched Ah Xian from the TV Programme which is known as "Taste with Jason". This restaurant is known as Chong Siew Lam Restaurant. No signboard to show this place but this is the only the crowded place in the whole street. Dim sum is always everyone's favourite even to our Muslim friends but finding a Halal and delicious dimsum is not that easy at all. After I have dined in Restoran Minmax, I know this is the best ever Halal dimsum that's available in Malaysia currently.
