Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh, Kota Kinabalu

There are two best bak kut teh in Kota Kinabalu that I have known so far. One is known as Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh and the other one is known as Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh. There are just located one street away from each other. However, both of them got the same jam packed customers as you can see from the picture above. You just cannot detect any available seat around. This is how good they are.
The one and only chef in action to prepare the whole bak kut teh to all the patrons. The surprising part is the serving speed was extremely fast. Usually when you see so many people, you might think you will need to wait for quite some time but he can make sure you will get your food at the fastest speed.
These are the prices after GST is imposed.
They do have other dishes to serve too apart of their famous Bak Kut Teh. However, my advice is just stick with their Bak Kut Teh no matter how much the waiter/waitress to push you to order more.
The moment you sit down, they will straight away serve you this dried tofu and a bowl of you tiao. They are chargeable at RM2.12 each so if you do not want them, just tell them to take them away. By the way, my advice to you is just tell them to take them away because they are not tasty and they are cold especially the you tiao was even worst. It was already stale and no longer crispy.
3 pax Bak Kut Teh @RM36.00++. You can choose if you would like to have individual portion or a combined portion like this. Individual portion will cost higher. A good bak kut teh, the most important thing is their soup. Sin Kee doesn't disappoint us with their rich herbal taste soup. The best part is they are not stingy at all to refill the soup for you. As for the ingredients in it, I can assure you that everything is delicious especially the intestine which is the best among all.
Their Chicken feet is sold at RM10.60 and it was braised real soft which easily de-boned when it entered my mouth. Not too salty and the savory taste is really excellent and scrumptious.
RM8.48 for this plate of vegetable. It is just cooked with oyster sauce but it is enough to bring out the sweetness out of it. It is recommended to order.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for their bak kut teh. However, please do not order their coconut pudding which is very terribly taste. The best coconut pudding is still the one at Restoran Masakan Sedap.
