Ri-Yakitori @The Gardens Hotel & Residence

In our third round of catching up business, we finally decided to do a Japanese style which is to eat yakitori and drinking sake. The location is at Ri-Yakitori which is opened inside The Gardens Hotel & Residence. Yakitori means skewered food. It is something like our local famous delicacies, Sate. But in Japanese style, it comes with more than just chicken, beef and mutton.
Kamatsuru Nama @RM75.40++ - we preferred our sake is hot and we both pretty like the fruity taste in it. At least, it is acceptable to a lady like Serene Tan.
We ordered a set of chicken assorted yakitori which one of it consists of Chicken Breast Yakitori. This set is cost at RM34.80/pax.
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - A little sourish from the tomato sauce which is kinda weird for us but it is still acceptable.

Chicken Skin
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 4/5
Overall: 3/5 - A simple chicken taste but it is grill in a way which is so delicious! Maybe you might think it will be too oily but it is done just right!

Chicken Meat
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - First you have to stir the raw egg yolk. After that dip in the chicken meat inside the egg and put in your mouth straight away. You might not accept the raw egg but seriously it is really delicious to be eaten that way. Very creative. One just not enough for me.

Chicken Wing
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - If the waiter did not explain what is this, I might thought some other animal's meat. It is really required a skill to be able to skew like this. The taste is delicious. After all, it is chicken wing. One of the best part on a chicken. Can't be that bad.

Chicken Thigh
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - I love chicken thigh the most. That's the most delicious part on a chicken for me. The sauce is slightly too sweet but it is just nice for my chicken thigh.

Eggplant @RM9.28
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 1/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 2/5 - The way they cook the eggplant is by putting the whole eggplant on the hot charcoal. So in the end some charcoal stick on the eggplant and I taste the terrible bitter taste in it. Unfortunately, they said that it is supposed to taste like that. I just cannot accept it.

Asparagus @RM9.28
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - A simple asparagus even after grilled it can still taste so juicy and sweet. I really like it.

Shiitake @RM8.12
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - I regard this as the best yakitori among all I have ordered. The butter mushroom brings a little salty into the juicy mushroom which is just perfect for me.

Salmon @RM46.40
Outlook: 2/5
Creativity: 2/5
Taste: 2/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 2/5 - Unfortunate for me is that day their Salmon is not fresh so even they cooked it, they still unable to cover up the taste.

Overall, we really do enjoy the meal even though with a few upset. The price is quite expensive by just only eating the Japanese "Sate". Good for experience but not really good for a revisit.
Total Damage: RM261.00
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Food Serving Speed: Fast
Will I Revisit?: No but recommended at least once
