Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks @Berjaya Times Square

Everyone knows the famous Shihlin is a local night market a.k.a pasar malam at Taiwan. Approximately 4 years ago, Shihlin becomes a company and brought into Malaysia as the locals just love the foods from pasar malam. The main products are XXL Crispy Chicken, Oyster Mee Sua, Tempura, Sweet Plum Potato, Egg Crepe and Rice Box.

The place for them to fry XXL Crispy Chicken, Tempura and Sweet Plum Potato.
No individual table available. It is just a long table at the side which is same like Shihlin @Taiwan.
My favourite is the Oyster Mee Sua @RM6.90

Overall: 3/5 - The combination is just perfect! However only four oyster in a bowl. I hope at least got eight!

No wi-fi provided in this restaurant and the seat is quite limited. Drinks are limited to bottled soy bean and mineral water only.
The franchise fee was once selling at RM50,000 when it was first introduced in Malaysia. Now they have over 28 outlets in Malaysia, 11 outlets in Singapore and 12 outlets in Indonesia. The franchise fee has shot up to RM150,000. The business package includes:

  • Suppliers' details
  • Special Cooking Recipe and Operation Manual
  • Full CCTV Surveillance
I still believe this is still a good franchise but please do not open it anymore in major cities such as Klang Valley, Ipoh, Malacca, Penang and Johor Baru. Do open at small but developing cities such as Kluang. LOL.
