Luna Bar @Pacific Regency Hotel Suite

Image
Where to see such a view at KL while enjoying your red wine? Here we are at Luna Bar which is located at the level 34 of the Pacific Regency Hotel Suite. By occupying the roof top of the hotel, you are able to see this great view. Along with me is Suyin, the DJ wannabe that I talked about previously and now we are here enjoying our beautiful Sunday night drinking red wine and feel the breeze. Really is an amazing experience! They have a DJ playing R&B songs and sitting right in the tower which is located at the top right of this picture. By the way, no dance floor provided. If you really feel like dancing, maybe you can dance at your own table. You can choose to sit by the pool side or by the window. Trust me, if you wish to sit by the window, you better book earlier to avoid disappointment. This is the window view which you can enjoy the KL night live scene. Not really tall enough for you to watch the view like what I had at Singapore's 1-Altitude . Fam...

Fancy Mee Corner, Wangsa Maju

Image
I had a quick lunch with my dear old primary school classmates at Fancy Mee Corner for their quite known for their Pan Mee. It has been a long time I had a Pan Mee since those days when I was in Taman Connaught. This Fancy Mee Corner offers 3 different types of pan mee which are thick mee, thin mee and cut mee. Spicy Chili Pan Mee @RM6.90 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 3/5 - The price is the combo set which comes together with their Jasmine Tea. About the taste, I will say not bad for a spicy pan mee. Only two types of mee to be chosen under this category which are thick mee and thin mee. I choose thick mee which is very suitable for this chili Pan Mee. Mum's Pam Mee @RM5.30 Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - I do not know why they charge us additional RM1.20 when we requested them to separately put away the fried fish cakes into a separate smaller bowl because we do not want to soak them. Quite ...

Ozo Bistro & Studio, Kluang

Image
Our Chan See's farewell party went for the second round which was at the most popular hangout place in Kluang which known as Ozo Bistro & Studio. This place is always crowded on Friday and Saturday night. They have live band here as well. Very creative designs throughout this 2 shop-lots. A good place where you sit and gather with your old friends while bragging and chatting away like there were no tomorrow. Plus, with the live bands music playing as a background song. It is just a perfect atmosphere.  The live band on Friday and Saturday is better than other days. We were there on Sunday and we experienced a real bad live band which is a disgrace to show off in front of the crowds like that. With their run off tune, I just hope the boss is not paying them for this.  Not a bad place to hangout with lots of kinds of beer and hard liquor to choose from for you to get boozed all night. Ritch Cafe, Kluang

Image
Back to Kluang...there are a few up and rising new restaurants build in my area. I am so proud to introduce this new place called Ritch Cafe. Today is also a farewell party for my old schoolmate, Chan See (middle) who is going to Penang following her husband. My number of friends in Kluang has reduced again...so sad! :( I like the design in this restaurant. Two shops combined together with windows like in the ancient ship. Very cute pepper and salt! Mango Chicken Salad @RM18.90 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - This is not in their menu and it is a must order dish! I really like the mango mix together in the salad. With added slight saltiness from the chicken bits, this salad is just too perfect! Grilled Dory with Ham @RM18.90 Outlook: 5/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Dory fish fillet with chicken ham is an interesting combination which somehow works very well. There is not dory fishy smell I ...

Komura Japanese Restaurant @Corus Hotel

Image
Today, May Lynne and I went to the most expensive ala-carte buffet which is called Komura Japanese Restaurant which is located at Corus Hotel. It is cost RM98.00++ for their dinner session but we paid only RM60.00++ because we chose to dine during lunch hour. Cheaper and of course eventually slightly lesser selection but we are able to comply with it. Their ala-carte buffet session only available on weekends. There she is...had her first ever ala-carte buffet. She looks like a big eater but in reality, she is not at all! I have to help her to finish up all the remains. As you can see the Komura's seatings are pretty private. All their seats are inside own private room. I like this style so much! Our chit sheet. Ladies and gentleman, start ordering! Their ocha is chargable at RM3.50 per pax. That's pretty disappointing. I thought it should be included since it is a buffet. The worst part is they do not even bother to notify us. Start from the below photos onward, I...

Soo Kee's Son (Meng Chuan) Prawn & Beef Noodles @Medan Imbi

Image
My sister is preparing for her final but she always try to push herself to the limit whenever her slightly selfish brother wishes to see her. Ya, the fortunate brother is me. Well, you can't blame me when I live 3 hours away from her. Of course will miss her at the moment she is not longer by my side. So today, she is here with me and I suddenly wanted to eat prawn mee. The real reason for it is because I have yet to find the finest prawn mee here at KL after staying here before for 8 years. So somehow we came across with Soo Kee's Son (Meng Chuan) Prawn & Beef Noodles which is located at Medan Imbi. His father, Soo Kee has his stall opened right opposite the road which is also a corner lot and selling the same thing. I really wonder why. We were in dilemma at first whether wanted to go to the son's or the father's. So in the end, we let the crowd in the restaurant decide for us. The price list already stated very clearly here. My first glance I saw the pra...

Fukuharu Japanese Restaurant @Terrace, Ampang

Image
Today I thought I am going to Zipangu Japanese Restaurant @Shangri-La Hotel but once again I failed to be there again. This time the reason is my dear friend, May Lynne is going home to eat and drink her mum's soup which made from "heart". Actually, she is a vivid soup lover so basically she will go anywhere where she knows got good soup is waiting for her. While as for me, I only had her to accompany me to eat at Fukuharu Restaurant only. When we arrived there, we saw an ongoing TV programme shooting. I thought the whole restaurant was booked for  shooting. Luckily it is not. So we continue with my dinner with some little disturbance from the lighting and cameras around. There she is hiding behind the menu with guilt. So the following portion are order for myself only. Tako (Sushi) @RM12.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Not bad. Still ok but is not really a must order dish. Salmon Moriawase @RM32.00++ Outloo...
