The Shotlist, Sri Petaling

I do not know how many coffee specialist cafes are there in Klang Valley. For you infromation, Jalan Radin Bagus is the busiest street at Bandar Baru Sri Petaling. Just along Jalan Radin Bagus alone, there are more than 6 cafes that I have spotted.  The Shotlist is one of them.
To be different than other cafes, effort of serving an excellent coffee is no longer enough. Not a lot of people has the unique tongue to taste the different in coffee. To be different, it is highly depending on the variety and the quality of food served.
We had Honey Roasted Hazelnut Latte @RM12.90++ and Hot Toffee Nut @RM13.90++. The coffee taste is excellent and the other extra taste is just the syrup to reduce the bitterness of the coffee. For those who can't tolerate caffeine very well can give this a try.
Mushroom Soup @RM10.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Delicious creamy smooth soup with mushroom bits. Even kids who hates mushroom would love it. However, do not be deceived by the large looking plate. Actually the portion is just a ladle size only.

Goma Pasta @RM16.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - The outlook can be deceiving because the sesame fragrant is immersing from the plate when you started to mix them around. You wouldn't able to imagine how the delightful is the taste to have it roam inside your mouth when you are taking the first bite of it. However, I thought this is a vegetarian dish because I can't find any meat in it.

Pork Belly Pasta @RM20.90++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - The pork belly looks more like a Chinese roasted pork. The taste is average and it just have a few pieces on the plate. The spaghetti is well cooked and that's all what is worth to mention about.

Teriyaki Don @RM21.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 2/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 2/5 - Below average. Near tasteless. Unimpressive to be classified as their signature.

Black Jamaica @RM15.90++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - This is an alcoholic dessert. It is one of the best dessert I have tried so far this year. The rum flavor is strong enough to make you start to have a little imagination session with the seductive dessert. The dark chocolate is a good combination to pair with the rum. In conclusion, you have to order this dessert if you are an alcohol dessert lover like me.

Green Tea Ice Cream @RM9.90++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 -Their ice cream is homemade without sugar and preservative. The green tea taste is made from authentic green tea powder. It is not something kids will like because it is not sweet at all. The bitterness of the green tea flavor is overwhelming your whole mouth. Personally, I like it because it is healthy in a sense but not everyone's favourite.

Rum & Raisin @RM10.90++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - This is one of the best rum & raisin ice cream I ever had. Probably better than Haagen Dazs. It is also one of their homemade ice cream. I love the creamy smooth ice cream with a strong alcohol kick on your taste bud. Just I wanted it to be.

Overall, this cafe standout the most in my opinion in terms of their coffee, food and dessert. They have a better good all around food and beverage than any other competitors along the road.
Total Damage: RM134.10
